No, but he just gets weirdly dumped on by KC fans, imo. Like lumping him in with Thigpen is just such an insult to the man and he isn’t even able to defend himself lol.

@Kcmatt7 probably because instead of starting for the Chiefs (admittedly a dumpster fire at the time) he chose to be a backup in Dallas. But I didn’t bring him up and actually wanted him back for another year in KC. It would’ve been better than what they got.

@Kcmatt7 I’m pretty okay with lumping every QB between Green and Mahomes together. And obviously Mahomes is on another planet compared to Green but Green was good.

He did his job perfectly.
He played well enough that he got Romeo hired. Caused them to be so bad next year that we got Romeo fired and were able to go get Andy. (Also we landed Kelce in that 2013 draft with Fisher).
Think about that for a second @BShark…
Also Alex Smith was good here. Andy was a big reason, but Alex was good.

After watching all the wildly incompetent quarterback play for years, Alex was a breath of fresh air. Mahomes is transcendent though.

@jayballer73 It wasn’t pulled. The CBS production truck lost power. NFL Network Redzone explained that no broadcast feed was coming from Jax, so they didn’t have any highlights in the last few mins of the 4th quarter.

well what the announcers said when they switched on our local channel - they said let’s go to a more competitive game , on our local station channel 13 what ever affilation that is - - ABC - – NBC - - CBS - -whatever one that is - they didn’t say anything about losing power - - just said they were switching to a more competitive game

Rumor is an NFC and an AFC team reached out to the Jags about Ramsey. The NFC team (not sure who) offered a 1st and a 5th round pick. The AFC team (I believe to be the Chiefs Shelborn would be a terrible poker player) offered a first round pick and a player. The offers were declined and countered with two first round picks. I wonder if someone will step up and pay the price or if the Chiefs can continue to bolster their secondary? Can they make the money work with Mahomes due for a pay raise soon or would be be a rental?

That’s about all they need from McCoy. He’s a legit threat to run and that’s all they need to freeze the LBs with play action. Damien Williams should be back in the near future.
Everyone knew replacing Kareem Hunt was not going to be easy. Chiefs HAD 5 RBs when the season began. A very solid run by committee was decimated (current definition).

Whew that was to close! Mahomes was a lil off today. Stafford is good. Fumbles killed us, but we did score a td off of theirs

The chiefs gotta feel both lucky and good after that one. Mahomes having an off day while still completing 57% of his throws and getting 300 plus yards speaks to the type of player he is, throw in 50 yards rushing. It’s hard to be too discouraged with that. I wonder if the Dome threw him off, supposedly that was the first time he had played in one. Interesting that the lions had one safety back 25 yards pretty much the whole game to prevent getting beat deep. But I think it gave Kelce a good amount of room to work with. Hold on to the football and make a FG it’s probably a 13 - 17 point win. I know it 4 weeks in but the defense still looks shaky to me and will be the down fall of this team if huge strides ain’t made sooner rather than later. The other issue was how much pressure the lions created with a 3 man rush that had 5 guys blocking most the time. I realize they have some guys hurt but that shouldn’t at this level repeatedly.

I’ve said it’s going to be their Defense that kills them - -they couldn’t stop a cold against a team that runs the ball. - -Lucky for them not a lot of teams that run the ball anymore that much - -we saw the result when you come up against a team that does

Andy Reid also still has his issues with clock management that have not been taken care of. He mismanaged the last two minutes in Detroit last week in the first half, losing a chance to try for a TD, then mismanaged the last 3 minutes of the game last night (including that disaster of a run call on 4th and 1).
Reid is a brilliant offensive coach, but he does not handle decisions under stress well at all. We have seen this time and again, and I would not be surprised if we saw it again in January. He has helped Mahomes develop, but I question whether Mahomes can achieve his full potential with a coach like Reid.

The chiefs are wasting Mahomes’ prime years with a piss poor offense line and a laughable defense. The fact that these guys are making millions and are that ungodly terrible is hard to grasp. The honey badger was a big waste of money. Dude can hit but couldn’t cover a guy in a wheel chair.
