Unfortunate as I love his game. If we are taking a HS guy in this class and he wants to commit early, makes sense though.
-
KU involved with recent Memphis decomit 4 star Arterio Morris who’s headed to the G-League. Good times
-
@BeddieKU23 Wut? Are you saying he is going G-League or we’re going after him?

ya really doesn’t make any sense to be involved with a kid if he is going G league - waste of time , could take that time and invest on a kid that’s NOT going G league

Both. He mentioned KU was one of several schools recruiting the hardest. It’s also expected he goes G-League which has been an option for him for a while
-
@BeddieKU23 Probably just threw out a feeler to cover our bases. Doubt that we’re investing alot of time and effort.

I’d be more concerned if we didn’t already have guys on board. Doubt they would pass on anyone hoping to get him.

Top 15 PF Kijani Wright of Los Angeles California said over the weekend KU one of 5 programs recruiting him the hardest. More importantly he’s playing on an Adidas grassroots team
One of the best rebounders in the high school game, Kijani Wright was tenacious on the glass in his first spring grassroots showing. Controlling the boards is a priority for him as he fully utilized his massive frame and played with great aggressiveness when battling inside. He is a high volume rebounder and smart player with good hands, footwork, and activity level who projects as a productive frontcourt force to be reckoned with for a winning program.
Recruitment: The top ten nationally ranked prospect says Arkansas, Kansas, Stanford, UCLA, and USC are the programs recruiting him the hardest.

lol
-
@BShark what’s so funny?
-
@BeddieKU23 looks like Silvio if Silvio had played basketball his entire life.
-
@Kcmatt7 Imagine Adidas actually delivering us one of their top players.

Traditionally a Arizona/Pac 12 feeder team. I’ll believe a Cali player signs here when they step on campus
-
@BShark How long is the Adidas contract for, again?
-
All eternity probably.
The reality is we need to improve our football brand.
-
@BShark Whoever they hire should get 7 years basically no matter what, imo. They need to get a fair shake.
That or hire someone like Bobby Petrino and let’s cheat our way back into relevancy. But pick one.
-
@BShark so, what are you saying? Bring back Glen Mason ? Does he have anything left in the tank?
-
@Kcmatt7 I didn’t realize Petrino just led MSU to a friggen conference championship his first year there lmao.
Screw it. Just hire the guy. The only man who can turn KU Football around.

They had a wild year. Started their season back in the fall and just wrapped up. Petrino is a grade A prick but can coach his arse off. That being said, it’ll be Monken or Leipold.
-
@FarmerJayhawk Oh it was more of a joke. I mean I still can’t believe how good of a football coach that guy is…
Would be REALLY funny to bring him in after Jeff Long got fired lol. But no I think a “program” guy like Leipold or Monken is probably the right decision.

2022 6’6" wing @dariq_whitehead of @mvabasketball has been offered by Kansas according to teamdurant dir. Of recruiting @Dwayne _wise
-
you think Whitehead the real deal BShark ? - 247 Crystal shows Florida St
-
Elite player, doubt we get him.
-
Whitehead been trending to FSU, elite athleticism
-
Bobi Klintman is moving from Sweden to Wichita to play high school basketball despite having offers to go basically anywhere including pro clubs in Europe. Mutual interest with KU. Something to keep an eye on.
-
@BShark Starting to think him ending up in Wichita isn’t a coincidence…
-
But we already have Dick. How would having both him and Klintman work?
-
@Marco Klintman very much looks like a modern 4. He’s like 6’8 for real.

Elite passer.
-
-
@BShark newer tape makes him look more athletic too.
Really glad he’s doing a prep year though so we get to see some actual tape against real players.
-
I would happily have Dick and Klintman on the roster @Marco
We will be in a position where likely the only wing remaining on the roster will be CB. I can’t see Jalen staying beyond HOPEFULLY next year.
-
@Marco I anticipate Gradey being out on the wing.

Not sure exactly how credible this guy is, but lines up with what I was told. Very serious mutual interest.

Yeah no surprise there. His friend Kijani Wright looks like a G League candidate.
-
4 star forward tarris Reed has been offer by Kansas
-
Don’t see him ending up at KU.

Sounds about par for the course
-
Kansas has expanded an offer to class of 2022 five-star forward Brandon Miller
-
Gradey Dick up to #18 on the ESPN rankings. Now a 5*
-
Nice! Playing at Sunrise had its advantages
-
They have him ahead of Mark Mitchell. Not sure I see that.
@BeddieKU23 Yeah, hard to even quantify how much better that is for him than compiling stats against crappy Kansas HS competition.
-
Not sure I care about where his ranking ends up - more just pumped that we have a 6’7 athletic shooter coming in…
If Zach has a nice offseason I really like the way 2022 is shaping up.
- PG - Yesufu/Harris
- SG - Pettiford/Cuffe
- SF - Dick/Braun
- PF - Clemence/Adams
- C - ???/Curry
But that is a good shooting team right there. And if Bill can keep that squad together for 2023, that is a NC type squad.
-
Oh baby, I’m sweating thinking about 2023 already
- PG - Yesufu/Harris
- SG - Pettiford/Cuffe
- SF - Dick
- PF - Klintman/Adams
- C - Clemence/Curry
-
Player retention will be key.
-
Interesting, ahead of Mitchell. Playing for Sunrise might have made the difference there. Hopefully Gradey takes the next step forward to earn that lofty ranking, I think he’s probably more Top 30 then Top 20 currently but a lot to like about him regardless
-
Ku has offer yohan traore 6’10
-
Kansas has offer westtown (PA) f/c dereck lively class of 2022
