2022 Recruiting Thread
-
Well 2022 recruiting is off to a good start. Let’s see if he sticks. In today’s age nothing is to be taken for granted. Looks like high upside and connections are favorable to keeping him
-

-
Exciting prospect. May end up in 21 class. I like our chances of holding onto him if he does re-classify. Big kid for his age, certainly looks like he will be physically mature enough to make the jump early if needed
-
@BeddieKU23 Trying to find out his age. That would be key for reclassing.

am sure he would be 16 for his age
-
What about this Dick kid from collegiate? I talked to his uncle at a hs graduation and he was hoping for a KU offer.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 wow did your mom never teach you if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all ;)? But really, looks like a really nice player. Definitely not done growing. May end up 6’8+ by the time he’s done. Good shooter and skilled.
-
@FarmerJayhawk One of my gf’s and I had a lot of fun discussing various names for Dicks sports goods. Our boys just rolled their ’s. We are grown now.
-
We might play them, I’ll have to check.
-
Would hope Dick is a KU lock. Think of the commentary possibilities.

keep a eyes out for ku beening the team to beat
-
His uncle is a big KU fan
-
@Crimsonorblue22 mom and dad?
-
@BShark idk, his uncle has same last name. I’ll have to ask my bro in law, he’s good friends w/them. He’s cutting or swimming.
-
He’ll be on campus soon
-
@BShark guessing since his uncle was hoping for a KU offer, the rest of the family must be fans too.
-
@FarmerJayhawk @Crimsonorblue22 Would be wild to have two 2022 commits soon…

Don’t get caught, booster.
-
@dylans That school I work at, they don’t pay me enough to be a booster!
-
@wissox like all teachers sad to say. Really a work of love. Thank you for your many years of bettering society for low wages.
-
@BShark Thanks! That same Doofus (from the other thread) I should have mentioned thanked me years later. Those are good moments.

Not really sure what the definition of a booster is… you may be one already!

A friend of mine has a Nephew that plays for one of the Pac 12 schools , and we were talking and his Nephew was in need of something very minor but needed badly but didn’t have the means to buy it - - My Buddy said when he heard he thought well Hell I’ll send him the money so he can get this myself - - then like I told him when I heard and he said before I even had the chance to say - - NOPE can’t do that - -that would be impermissible benefits and would instantly make him ineligible and him become a booster.
Believe me we are taking tiny amount of money , just another example of these kids not being allowed to get any kind of support - -crazy rules - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Gradey Dick seems like a 22 recruit that is all but certain KU’s to lose at this point. However its the 2022 class and that’s far away

For me, @jayballer73’s post raised a question. Can these scholarship players accept money for their parents? I can’t imagine that a parent wouldn’t want to provide basic necessities. Are parents allowed to help and the line is drawn at extended family members, or not even the parents are allowed?

For their parents - no. From their parents - yes.

Ryan knew this would happen. Sucks tho.
