@BShark lol

@DanR his joints won’t last carrying that weight. I meant Trae young. Were u kidding me?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Was kidding about forgetting Trae Young, but I googled Trae Clark. LOL.
-
I still have ZSPN on and it’s embarrassing to watch them break down every move Zion makes. Jesus.

Interesting to hear Cole Aldrich say it’s all about the National Championship.

How do we handle a much better w v team?
-
Spectrum Sports channel 30 in KC
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Q: How do we handle a much better w v team? A: Have you in attendance!
-
@DanR I’ve been saying this same thing. Unless he becomes a freak about nutrition, I don’t see how he does plump up majorly
-
I still say Texas is foolish for canning Barnes, you’d think making the tournament every year (only missed 1) and getting a conference title every now and then would be fine in football land. The new facility they are building is only to seat 10,000 compared to 16,540 for the Erwin center. The highest avg attendance I could find was when KD was there at just over 14k. Usually I look at road game tickets and Texas and Oklahoma are usually the cheapest. Crazy to think people wouldn’t spent $10-$15 to see KD in college. I’d go as a Basketball fan for that price just to see KD.
-
@CRH107 no. I was at AFH last time we played them, totally different teams.
-
@kjayhawks Barnes needed to go at Texas. He lost 11+ games his last 4 years (14+ in 3 of those years). He failed to make it past the 1st weekend in his final 6 tournament appearances at Texas and 11 of 16 overall. Texas needed to make a change because they had become very stale under Barnes.
Just because Shaka busted there doesn’t mean they weren’t wrong for getting rid of Barnes.
-
West Virginia played out of their mind yesterday. They will come back to earth on 3rd game in 3 days. Banking on it.
Have to rebound tonight and make shots.
-
It wasn’t pretty and Grimes pretty much bricked every open 3/layup he attempted but getting 12 points from him was huge last night. 7-8 from the line was the best he’s shown all season long.
-
Grimes was the best defender yesterday don’t @ me.
-
@BeddieKU23 There was a stretch there where I was wondering if our set offense was to have Grimes come down and clank a shot. And on cue, the moment Charlie Moore touched the ball he immediately drove and threw up a miss.

What makes it worse is I don’t see anything wrong with Grimes form. It’s not like Garrett or Moore’s ugly looking side shot. His form looks solid but I’m perplexed why his success rate isn’t as high. I guess my expectations were higher then reality for him
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 That maybe true but I still don’t think they can get anyone better with how big Football is down there. Shoot they couldn’t even fill the place with KD.
-
@BeddieKU23 Grimes shot is unbelievably flat. And that is something that can be fixed, just not midseason. For dramatic and not perfect comparison, let’s look at just two still photos that I’ve drawn the ball path on (poorly). One is a tight up Grimes make vs. MSU. Not even Grimes flattest shot. The other is Curry from the opposite side of the floor, very zoomed out. Curry’s ball literally made the camera move up to be able to fit the ball in the full video. It would have gone off of the screen had it stayed still. The Apex is probably 15 feet above the rim. Grimes’ ball is, at it’s apex, maybe 5 feet above the rim?
Now Ray Allen didn’t have the biggest arch and he was a great shooter. But he also had the arch that Grimes has on Grimes best shots. Every time. So this seems like a poor approach to take imo.
I personally think Grimes will eventually be a consistent shooter. However, it will likely take an offseason to retrain his brain to shoot with a different arch than he currently has.

@Kcmatt7 @BeddieKU23 Maybe the coaches can work with him on his shot over the summer? Uh, well … maybe skip that, so says Udoka and Garrett.

That’s if they even get the chance. Still rumblings he’s leaving regardless of his season
-
@HighEliteMajor We have seen improvements from guys. But I do think they are likely from work they do on their own. Mason, Svi, Vick, Ellis, and T-Rob all come to mind as guys that drastically improved their shooting from where they started.

Grimes wanted to shoot those freebies. I like that.
I noticed that as well. Didn’t give it up to Dotson intentionally. I wasn’t pleased at the moment, but if it helps him grow a pair, great.

This would shock me. He still has so much to gain by coming back as what would be a young Sophomore.

Shaka will be back.

@BShark they just paid Strong 10 million to go and have been asking for funding the new basketball arena. I was doubtful they had the 13 million to get rid of him in a sport no one cares about in Texas.
