I’m wondering if the streak ending will actually make this team play better in the B12 and NCAA Tournaments because there won’t be much pressure on this team and the expectations won’t be sky high like normal.

Technically the streak was still alive win this game began. The effort and energy this team came out with is a embarrassment to the KU program. If I was a former player I would be pissed off.
However, when you don’t really have any players that have bought into the program ( sans Mitch) not sure what you can expect.

that was the worst series coming out of a time out that I have ever seen from a Bill Self team. Period

He said he was embarrassed earlier in the game. I’m never embarrassed being a fan of a team that has won 14 titles in a row, has been a #1 seed every season seemingly for half a decade, has defeated this years #1 team, has a HOF coach, etc. etc. and it takes a major injury, a trusted senior flaking out on us, the NCAA screwing us out of one of our best players to make us lose our streak. Not embarrassing. Bad luck? Maybe. But no one is to blame here. And oh, one other non embarrassing thing. This team will play in its 30th NCAA tournament in a row, and barring an upset, will win it’s 28th out of 30 first round games during that streak. Of course, it won’t be embarrassing either when once again 16,300 fans show up Saturday and give them a rousing ovation for the great accomplishment of all these years.

@wissox I guess this has been the most “embarrassing” season for KU fans in 15 years. Stay classy. Don’t storm the court when we beat KSU and TTech at home next year.
