Johnathan Givony Top 100 for Draft
-
Since there has already been some talk about players who might leave early I thought I would post this here. Givony is IMO the best in the business by far at watching film and evaluating talent when it comes to the draft. He updates this list periodically throughout the year.

Grimes #30 ( in a free fall) I believe he was as high as #6 on this list Dedric # 41 Dotson # 44 Doke #76 Vick # 91

Ouch, #30 that’s one heck of a steep drop. Should be plenty motivation for him I would think.

Kyle Boone on CBSSports.com still has QG in the top 10, at #9 to San Ant. As of Dec 7.

I did see that as well. Givony is definitely plugged in so between the film and feedback from scouts/gm’s etc I’m sure that’s where Grimes is being talked about at right now. Not saying the CBS guy doesn’t know his stuff, is his stuff usually good?

@BeddieKU23 I have no idea, I must admit. I had just been loading web links onto my new phone and was surprised when I saw that one. I figured it must be old, and when it wasn’t, decided it was an interesting outlier to the recent posted projections. If I guessed, I would say he places more stock in athleticism than stats early in the season.

Grimes was ranked around 20th in HS. Surely there are 9 returning players in all of the NCAAs that are better. 30th is closer to where I thought he’d project anyway. 6th was drinking the cool-aid IMO.

@dylans In every mock draft that I looked at to begin the year Grimes was listed as a top 10 pick.

@Woodrow Exactly. I’m saying he was over-rated to begin with.
