Maybe Doke will be able to develop into a more versatile defender this off-season if he returns. Hudy was starting the scratch the surface with his body this year.
His bad matchup with Spellman he wasn’t 100% so its tough to get a full read how different he could have defended him if he wasn’t limited. I don’t think it would have been a big difference but we don’t know. At least its a glaring weakness that can be addressed either here with our staff or wherever he ends up.
Devon Dotson and Marcus Garret are a top tier duel pg option and Charlie and KJ are two vets that are great back ups. I think the only question is whether Legerald leaves. If he does I suspect Romeo Langford will commit and if not then we have our senior leader talking mad shit on the court. Wouldn’t mind having LG back for another year.
For those wondering KJ Lawson is a redshirt Soph next season. Received a medical waiver for a heel injury suffered in his freshman year.
“A heel injury limited K.J. Lawson to 10 games in the 2015-16 season, forced to watch his brother Dedric win the American Athletic Conference’s rookie of the year award from the sidelines. K.J. was, however, granted a medical redshirt and an extra season of eligibility, and last season, he captured his own AAC rookie of the year honor.”
Example of pundit(s) - in this case, Gary Parrish, having to take back the “Looks like the streak will end for KU” or similar projection:
Oh ye of little faith. - I agree - the season is far from over, BUT at least right now 1/3 the way through Conference - -" SURPRISE " - here we are, now let me hear all the doubters lol. – ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
