KU will win this game going away but let’s not kid ourselves, Rutgers is a really bad team so I am not sure we can read much from this win…at least not yet.

@kjayhawks Thise types of throws are why Bender was the starter. He does protect the ball decently well.

Agree. Too early to tell. KU could be able to compete with Texas, Baylor and KSU from what I’ve seen but I wouldn’t pick KU to win any of those games.

If we can get the run game to be respectable, this team will win a conference game.

@JayHawkFanToo We’re better than last year. That’s what we can take from this game. Whether that translates to any Big 12 wins or not is another issue, but this team is better than last year.

@nwhawkfan It’s not unrealistic at this point though. Those are also bad teams and if KU’s defense can keep creating turnovers, they’ll have chances to win those games. 6 per game doesn’t seem realistic, but 2 or 3 against those offenses isn’t unrealistic either though.

@kjayhawks OSU didn’t play their hardest. OSU could’ve dropped 80+ if they left their first string all game.

They put it on complete cruise control after their first drive in the 2nd half. They also played their back-up QB from that point on.

I’d be happy if we complete in the B12 personally I think there are 3 or 4 teams we should be able to do that against. Not saying we can win 4 but who knows, one game at a time guys.

No question that Pooka gives KU something it did not have and that is an improvement and 2 wins are better than 1 but the wins have been against really bad teams.

@JayHawkFanToo The difference between this year and previous years though is these wins against bad teams have been blow outs where the defense has been very good and creating turnovers. In the past, these wins against bad teams have close wins.
