KU scheduled an in-home with James Wiseman and he’s coming for Late Night. Might as well take the free trip I guess. Because he’s staying home.

Interesting, I thought Kentucky and Memphis were the run away leaders. 24-7 has him ranked #1 and Rivals #3. It would be a real nice pick up but I would be surprised if he ends up at KU.

Well Tre Mann Gone, no big surprise - -committing to Florida -and wow Anthony cut his list all right - -down to TWELVE - - that’s cutting your list? Same goes for Wiseman - - I mean in reality - -I know we stand a chance like a snowball’s chance in hell , yet still interesting mama very , very , involved. Obviously gonna be spring before he decides. Mama says she wants him to just be able to concentrate on his 12th grade year. - After his season they will be able to see Transfers for schools involved in his recruitement graduation and such.
She says the narrative in the recruitment has been only 2 schools that have a chance mama says of top recruit that’s NOT REALITY. she said KU keeps in touch all the time - – -Vanderbilt is always on him - - - -Florida St texting him E-mailing him
His visits are Kentucky Sept 7th - - - -KU - in home visit on Sept 12th & official visit on the 28th - - -Vanderbilt on October 5th. - - article says has been on both Vanderbilt & Ku campuses .
Mama says they wanna see how you all play , see how the system is ran , get dirty with the players , She wants James to talk with some of these people and get a feel of what’s going on - -He is not close to a decision - she wants him to make an educated choice in the spring
I know you know he isn’t coming here BUT how many ever thought we would ever get a visit from him - -now we have one - -a in home plus an official - -and a late night visit at that - -Think the ol fat lady might wanna sit down for a spell - -not time to sing yet one never knows - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I’d say Mann to FL is a surprise as most everyone thought he was going to UNC. Odd ending to a recruitment there.

Can’t hurt to have JRE in Wiseman’s ear. Because those two would be a filthy front court. The Mann thing REALLY surprised me. Word around UNC was it was done.

ya me too. Just like I’ve been talking to NC fans been pretty good no hate - -BUT as soon as I mention JRE coming for late night – BAM statement such as keep on pumping yourself up but do it somewhere else.

@Woodrow he tweeted about news coming Friday and a little birdie told me this was it. I think Duke or KU. Memphis is too much of an unknown for a lot of top guys yet. KU has something neither can sell right now: a guaranteed role and history of developing great guards.

No Ty Berry, still a 3 star ranked #199. For those that have seen him is this appropriate ranking?
Bryce Thompson just barely a 4 star prospect.
Not much else to report as 2019 is still wide open. Not sure we really stick out with anyone at the moment

@BeddieKU23 I’ve seen him play a high school game last year. He had to take over. Shot a lot of free throws. His team wasn’t that good so really hard to tell. I know his coach this year, really well. He hates KU. I’ll see him play again.

Can someone that has heard or watched McBride please explain to me the difference between him and Jacobs? I understand ranking are not the end all be all, but why would we go our separate ways from a kid who “has not progressed” and is ranked approximately 90-100 to a kid who is not even ranked at all and a 3* prospect? Just doesn’t make any sense to me at all at this time.

I believe 247 has yet to rank him which is keeping his ranking where it is currently. You may see all the major services get a look at his AAU performances in July and give him a bump as well. Senior film may help out as well at the end of the year.
His tape looks pretty good. He’s bigger then Jacobs and I think he has more skills KU wants then Jacobs had, especially shooting from the perimeter. This may be one to trust the staff, Mcbride’s other leader is Tennessee so he’s definitely viewed as a P5 player.
The staff has had pretty good success with guys like this. Identifying talent that has gone under the radar isn’t a bad thing. If he signs with KU I do expect he’ll get a bump based on that alone.

As of anything reported at this time he might not even let Arkansas back in at this point. I think he ends up top 100 in the final rankings, for those that think about such things. I was hoping KU would push for Sam Williamson when he was unranked.

OK, so McBride is a 19 guy right? - - So this is Chandler saying these things right? -So then is Chandler possibly hoping to play together with McBride? With him talking and saying hopefully we’ll be able to make the decision at the same time or close to each other? If that is Chandler saying this sounds like he might want to play with McBride - - yes?

Also Chandler is a combo forward like KJ. He can definitely play some three. I don’t think the staff view him at the same position as Hurt and JRE. I could be wrong though.
I think Chandler is a good long term player and his family knows he isn’t going to be OAD. He could come to KU and develop over 3-4 years. With his length he could really be disruptive on defense and he would improve his offense over time I’m sure.
