@kjayhawks2.0 tiller took himself out of the game w/2 quick fouls and then another before half. Flo had no help back there, at least experienced. They are big, tough for playing Tre at 4.

@crimsonblu22 ya idk if Flory thought because Tiller got two quick ones, he couldn’t play aggressive at all. I feel like there were several double digit minutes stretches that a person couldn’t even tell he was on the floor. I mean he didn’t go after rebounds, blocks or even move to get open on offense. That may very well have been the worst game of his Jayhawk career. We really need wins next week and at least in KC to stay on the 4 seed line.

I'm not sure what happened but we underscored Ariz by 20 points from the line. We shot okay from three but they are just better than us. DP shows his freshman self on defense and you can see Flory directing traffic getting back on defense because all our other starters are new to the system. You see other teams doing the same thing. DP shows his smarts when poking at the ball and following his shots. He moves so quickly you have to pay close attention or you'll miss it. He is shooting 47/81/41 percent from the field, line and deep. As much as he gets picked at he is the only consistent high scorer we have. Can we get tournament type results from Bryson, Elmarko and Jamari enough to get past the first weekend? We force our passes on offense and get burned by it and we should appreciate Melvin's aversion to turnovers. Primary ball handlers easily can get three or four miscues a game. We are actually not bad at ten a game. This time of year we see a lot of pretty good teams getting beat two or three times. Bill keeps stressing we have not played at the level we are capable of. Win our next two games warts and all and maybe when we get to win or go home it will surprise us. Maybe just maybe. I have thought okay we know what this team's identity looks like, but nope not yet.

Did DP hint that he might consider another year in Lawrence? Others picked up on it.

@wissox83 not serious
-
@wissox83 I’m pretty sure he was joking

I can think of 50 million reasons to leave Kansas after 1 year but probably a few million to stay as well (not all of them monetary).
Does it really get any better than being a college student? I am not convinced.

Most of the players that come to college is their dream to go to the NBA

@jayhawkfan214 yeah, I get it. college is awesome for a young adult. But you cant skip on generational wealth.

NCAA football is already greatly diminished by kids quitting on their teams in the postseason. Every game you play you're risking your pro career. I guess coming back for another season is riskier. A kid already with millions in the bank is set for life if he's wise. Darryn could be set for life and close to generational wealth if he came back anyways.
I'm sure there's other comps, but since I follow UW I'll not forget Frank Kaminsky after his junior year writing a column for the Madison newspaper on why he's coming back instead of entering the draft. In effect it was why go pro and play for a bottom feeder when you could be playing in college in front of big crowds for fans who pay more attention? He was from a comfortable living situation which makes it a lot easier of course. Not sure of DP's situation. Stay in school. He'll be forgotten in the NBA unless he is as good as some think he is. Cement your legacy as the next NCAA champion! Fans will talk about you the way we do Clyde L and Wilt and Danny. Danny was the best example of stay in school the NCAA maybe has ever seen.

@wissox Or.... hear me out... play like a legend, win the National Championship as a freshman, be MVP of the tournament, quiet the critics, go have a legendary career in the NBA, beat SGA and Wemby in the olympics and make enough money to do what you want the rest of your life.
-
@bskeet That would be ideal! But be like the UCONN kid who came back and won two in a row!
