Wigs hits late 3 to sink OKC

Pretty cool to see, hopefully it’s the start of a great season for the young fella.

@kjayhawks What a great game for Twolves. It was at OKC, too, which is huge for them.
I always look at the +/- in the box score just to see if anything pops out. Here, it is very telling about Minnesota’s lack of bench depth compared to OKC. Every Minn starter was in positive double digits (+10, 14, 15, and 21) except for Towns (+2). Every bench player but one was negative enough for OKC to be so close (0, -8, -12, -13, -19).
Carmello Anthony was the only starter positive for OKC, at +12. Westbrook, although the high scorer at 31 points, was minus 17 for the game (37 mins), while their backup point guard, Felton, was +23 in 18 mins.
Nothing dispositive, but I have always sensed that while Westbrook and Anthony score at a heady clip and look flashy, neither necessarily makes a team around them better. I think I will see how the season goes with both of them together.

Wiggins had a huge putback dunk 2 possessions before that shot. Towns made a tough 2 before that Melo 3… Good to see Wiggins get one of those last second shots to go down. He’s having a great start to the season again. We’ll see if he can keep it going with better players around

only took $148 million for Wiggins to do what he should be doing. too bad he didn’t get paid in college…we might have actually beat stanford
-
Spot on on Westbrook and Anthony; great individual players but their teams don’t seem to benefit…of course Syracuse did.
-
@elpoyo Seriously, that is what you are stretching hard to find to put him down? You would be better off if you said he wrote his name funny in 5th grade or something.

I’m telling you, Wiggins stepped on Elpoyo’s foot one day and he’s holding a grudge forever.
-
@BeddieKU23 Maybe he didn’t smile at him sometime. I have watched lots of TV. These stalkers start getting twisted by the slightest perceived slights…

oh…i’m holding a grudge alright…so should all of us…we got duped! Wigs gave less then 50% effort the whole time he was here…we should have made it to the FF that year! but he was too concerned about getting injured and protecting his draft status so we couldn’t even make it past stanford.
even sadder - all this and he is still worshiped like some god by the sheeple here

Baaaaaaa! Baaaaaa!
-
@elpoyo Yeah, it was all Wigs fault. He made Naadir play like crap, and deliberately hurt Embiid.
-
@elpoyo is just a negotive Nancy, he seldom says anything positive.

Such sabotage. For shame Wiggs!
-
Wiggins saw him hanging around AFH and said …what is a chicken doing here?..and forever destroyed the image he had of himself…

Following on the fowl theme…

Therapy, drugs, something must help…

OH NO, AN ILLEGAL SCREEN. Refs at all levels NEVER get those wrong usually.
-
Seems to me that Wiggins is the one laughing; his shot went in, it counted and the Wolves won the game. Poor @elpoyo…that must have hurt.

@elpoyo, I usually don’t like too much what you write, but keep writing! It’s just sports, it’s fun, keeps the board interesting!
