Mitch and the Miracles vs The Ghost of Gene Keady's Hair Game Thread
-
I thought it would be a very close game!
OMFG, they just destroyed Purdue!! Total annihilation. Domination. Next.
-
Outrebounded them by 7!!!
-
KU just beat the B10 regular season champs by 32 points in the NCAA tournament. Just let that sink in.
-
@brooksmd not i
-
Most pts KU has ever scored in the first three games of the NCAAT.

We already beat the SEC champs on their court, we just crushed the B10 champs, now we get the PAC 12 champs with the possibility of playing the ACC champs if we play UNC.
Actually, Duke is considered the official ACC “conference champions” champs by winning the ACC tournament. Since we beat them at the virtual beginning of the season, we can bookend their conference with UNC, whom they recognize as the “regular season champions.”.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 unbelievable.
-
Oregon loves to play zone. Time to shoot them out of the gym.
-
@mayjay Don’t agree.
I don’t byy conf tournament champion.
ISU out of the tournamnt
KU dominate in regular seadon and tournanment…
I know…doesn’t fit with my dark side nature
-
@mayjay I was referring to regular season champs because Purdue and Oregon didn’t win their tournaments.
-
@BShark Twin towers c0mbined for 9 and BIFM had 7 by himself.
-
POY
27 points
7 Rebounds
7 assists

Q: How did Frank introduce himself to Lightfoot?
A: Mitch, I’m Frank Mason.
(Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
-
Swanigan
18 points
7 rebounds…
only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades
-
Oregon will be a much tougher game. Oregon is the first team KU will play in the tournament that has guards.
-
@Bwag ya and he had a couple of 3s and bunnies late while we just fooled around up bye 25+.
-
This has to be the more complete game KU has played in a long time.
Looks like KU has been playing possum all season and now they have unveiled the real team and it is a something else. No mercy seems to be the motto, the teams goes for the kill and does not let up like they did earlier in the season.

All I heard was how the Purdue game was going to be tough. And now Oregon ??? Ok So KU only wins by 20
-
@DoubleDD I’d be happy if they just won the game.
-
Brooks and Dorsey are really friggin good. Also Dorsey was pretty interested in KU so he will probably play the game of his life.
-
@DoubleDD `Hope
-
The Oregon game will be a fast paced game. I’d think getting the ball inside minus their 7 footer will be good. Their guards are good, don’t know if there Mason and DG good. On a side note it ticks me off that the guys at the tournament Central already talking about how they are down a guy… Doka is still in cast fellas. The best quote of the night was I believe Reggie saying “Mason carries the equipment bags and makes the travel arrangements” haha.

This KU team wants a championship. They isn’t hoping to win. They be bringing it. Saturday it’s Duck on the grill. .
-
Enjoy tonite. Get back to preparations hard tomorrow. Go get it fellas
-
@DoubleDD Ya man, I didn’t even think about the added motivation that the bird dynamic will bring to the table.
-
It isn’t the same for the Big 12. That wording is the ACC terminology. Remember, they had a tournament long before anyone else did. Their tournament winner, the ACC conference champion, was the only team to get a bid back when there were no invitees other than conference champions and independents. It is their tradition, and they think it sets them apart.
The other conferences have tournaments for the money and the automatic bid, which means nothing in a power 5 conference.

Mitch to Purdue: BIML!

KU will be the late game again Saturday.
-
@BShark It will be on TBS.
-
Oh man, if the Orca loses to Xavier what a cherry on top that would be.
-
-
No. The EE games are on TBS. Don’t ask me why…
-
-
Yes it was announced.
-
@DoubleDD CBS is not broadcasting the Saturday finals. Make plans accordingly. It is on TBS.
-
-
@DoubleDD Both Saturday games.
-
-
-
@DoubleDD It is because they share the rights. Turner owns TBS, TNT, and TruTV, the other 3 tourney networks. CBS is owned by CBS Corp.
-
@wissox I have more that I’ll upload when I get home! Phone battery is low. Got an awesome time lapse video with my GoPro too
-
Zona or Zags, who y’all got?
-
@DoubleDD Check out Wikipedia on “cbs and tbs relationsip March Madness”
Excerpt:
Starting in 2016, the regional finals, Final Four and national championship game began to alternate between CBS and TBS. TBS holds the rights to the final two rounds in even numbered years, with CBS getting the games in odd numbered years.
Lots of info on there on how they break it down. Contract is in effect until 2032.

The Orca.
-
I only have one criticism of our play and that’s totally on Vick. Love the kid and he will be a key player the next 2 years. But showboating with a 360 dunk doesn’t belong in the game. At least not in the KU game.
-
@BShark Me too, unfortunately.
-
KU vs Zona would be a whale of a game.
-
It’s too bad we’ll never get to see a Dok/Karnowski matchup. That would also be a whale of a game.
