I think Tech is a final four contender With Toppin but very mediocre without him. Hope is okay and it’s nothing serious.

The upper tier B12 teams are snake bit with injuries - KU/Peterson; BYU/Saunders; TTU/Toppin; and UA/Peat. Seriously impacts potential for deep tourney runs...

@DCHawker besides Saunders, do we know the others exact injuries, yet? Seems like AZ is keeping theirs a secret.

Toppin done for the year with a torn ACL. Sucks for Tech.

Toppin and Peterson, the two preseason frontrunners for conference POY are now both out of the running. Saunders, who had made a case for himself is out too. Should be Dybansta's award to lose, with Momcilovic and Flemmings also having cases.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Mercy , dam it's been a rough year Saunders ACL- --now Toppin ACL. I'm not sure if Tech makes the tourney now ---BYU probably out always had to laugh when people say Basketball is a on contact sport Anyone who has eve played the game knows much better

BYU gave Arizona all they wanted in Tucson without Saunders. Was hoping BYU could steal it and have Houston lose to Zona Saturday. Good news is one team of Houston and Arizona will lose Saturday.

@kjayhawks2.0 I think it is very unlikely that the winner of the UH vs Arizona game doesn't win the conference outright. For us to get a share either way we would have to win out (beating both UH at home and Arizona in Tucson) or some shocking upsets would have to happen.

@Jayhawk_69 ha I put Tempe instead of Tucson first, I’m tired lol. Obviously if we win out we will likely win the conference out right but I think we can lose in Tucson and still share it. Arizona has @Houston, ISU and us at home left they are likely losing at least 1 if not 2 of those. They don’t look invincible anymore now that they aren’t playing cellar dweller teams at home. Houston is still in the best shape imo with Arizona at home and us on the road left. ISU has @BYU, Tech at home and @ Arizona left. I don’t see them winning all 3 of those. If Houston gets the win they prob got a 75% of winning by themselves.

If Houston wins they still might share the crown with Arizona if we beat UH and lose to Zona. If Zona wins I don't think they share the crown with anyone unless we beat them on the road

In terms of other games a big loss last night in Morgantown for WV against Utah. That really hurts their chances to get on the right side of the bubble. They really didn’t have a bad loss before that one.

UCONN lost at home and this time of year things sort themselves out. We overthink because it's fun. Our defense was good against OSU who had only lost three more than us and has some players who will get mentioned at the end of the year.

Arizona beat Houston on the road. Looks like Arizona is in a good position to win the conference outright

Anyone else think it’s weird pretty much every metric has the B12 as the best conference in America but yet has the least amount of teams in the tournament of the power 4 conference. I’m sorry but if you go .500 in the best conference, you should be a lock come march.

@Jayhawk_69 they may be in a decent position but the race is still on, they still got to play Iowa St and us before it's over and pretty dure their game with Iowa State is Ames

Lunardi has 8 teams in - TCU in the last 4 in. WVU further down; next 4 out. In fairness, WVU's only good win is against KU, maybe UCF on the road. They lost to every decent team they played in non-conference. Their .500 record is the product of the easiest possible B12 schedule - play all the best teams just once. KU the only one they've beaten.

I'm going out on a limb and predicting 9 teams.

Seven teams are pretty obvious: The top 6 (ranked) teams plus UCF (8-6) which has only one game against a top 6 team remaining (tonight vs BYU).

TCU, CINCY and WVU are all .500 in the league right now. I think TWO of these three teams will make it into the tourney.

WVU only has one game against the top 6 (hosting BYU). But it does host UCF on Friday March 6. (Could have big implications.)

TCU plays @ TT and hosts Cincy.

Cincy plays @ TT, hosts BYU and is @ TCU.

Cincy seems legit based on Saturday's performance but we'll have to see; it seems to have the toughest road.

Plenty of time for two of these teams to elevate themselves over the third through the final games of the league and in the B12 tournament.

If the tourney leaves out two of these three, I'll be surprised.

                                        Rock Chalk!

Baylor trying to help the rest of us have hope for a chance at tying for the league championship. They're giving Arizona a tough game right now.
