I say what I feel, what I observe. I take off the Crimson and Blue glasses and I don't drink the Crimson and Blue kool-aid.

Kansas is a program on the decline. That's not my opinion, that's a fact. Kansas men's basketball had not lost 11 games in a season since 1989! The past three years we've lost 11, 13 and 11. We have been bounced from the NCAA Tournament after the first or second games (against generally far inferior opponents) multiple timnes. That's right off the kuathletics.com website. Facts. Not opinions. So people can say I'm naysayer. Say that I'm negative. Say whatever they want to say. Have me banned. Chances are I'm just telling the truth and nobody wants to hear it.

How is that even possible? PLUS - UCONN is the only college program that has sent the men's and women's teams to the Final Four in the same year multiple times. SIX to be exact. No other program has done that more than once.

WV was behind by 12, came back and tied it and went to OT and then Honor Huff for WV (scored 34 total points) took over in Devonte Graham style and won it for them. They beat all other teams that went to Vegas for this losers tourney.

Pre-NIL, it wasn't THAT important because Bill's success was developing players over the course of up to five seasons. He is punch-in-the-face dislikable, but agree that he has mastered the NIL era. Article about UConn/Hurley in the weekend WSJ. Notes that in recruiting they are laser focused on two traits - fitting into specific roles and character (principally willingness to buy in and put up with his s**t).

What I struggle to understand in comparing KU over the past 4 years to UConn/Hurley, FL/Golden, and May is their consistent ability to land real P5 talent starters in the portal every year and to get veteran players to run it back - not all jump to the NBA/G-league/overseas or transfer.

Karaban has stayed at UConn 4 years. FL got Condon and Hauch to come back. May was able to get 3 bigs, each arguably better than Flory and certainly better than Tiller (not to mention Mbiya), to come to MI and actually play them together.

I was thinking about those two teams. Since I came to KU, we played Duke in 86 semis, (ref induced loss), beat Duke in 88 semis, beat UNC and lost to Duke in 91 finals, lost to UNC in 93 semis, played neither in 02, 03 tourney FF, beat UNC in epic beatdown in 08 FF semis, played neither in 12 or 18 but did beat Duke to get to FF in 18, and of course beat UNC epically in 22 champ game! That's 3 FF games against Duke and UNC 4 times. Interestingly we've not played other frequent FF team Kentucky in the FF except once in 12.
