No PG HAVOC vs Hobbled PG Game Thread

12 steals, but 12 TO’s. Lucas 0 points.
-
Man that was a strong move by bragg
-
Texas shooting well to start this half says it all about the defense.
-
Texas continues to prove that they can hit shots when they are unguarded
-
Allen on the bench good time for a spurt.
-
This team continues to refuse to lock down defensively for longer stretches.
-
@bskeet lets wait another 10 minutes before we figure that out
-
@HawkChamp BIFM made that pass look easy on the pick n roll too but that is like threading a needle & honestly I’m surprised Bragg was ready for it. He’s effed that up all season long. I miss the reliability of Perry Ellis.
-
@globaljaybird Thanks man. Good to see you. Feeling a little crappy, so slept through first half. Gotta leave to coach my 7 year old in a few minutes here. We’ve been working on pivoting on the opposite foot on the post to create space, then the shot fake and blow by… I’m looking forward to see if he can bust it out in the game
-
@globaljaybird no the post move and the score
-
Gettin chippy wit JJ HCBS sits him down good move
-
LUCAS NOOOOO
-
I like how Devonte coached the ref into making the right call there, traveling.
-
Would you guys believe my boy is on the Duke Blue Devils for his rec league? Nice quality uni and all I’m just thankful they didn’t give him #3. I’d say hell no! And we do have a #3 on the team. I think his fam is oblivious.
-
@approxinfinity LOL
-
Another career night for an opposing player. What is the deal with our defense? Allen looks like the best big in college ball.
-
Didn’t even touch him
-
Bragg misses inside. Mason steals and missed a three. Tough sequence.
-
Carlton with a miss on the post move but I like his aggressiveness the last few possessions.
-
Missing too many bunnies.
-
Just dumb basketball instead of making the right play
-
If bragg wasn’t fouled on his last post move I’m not sure how that was a foul on bragg
-
Yes, Carlton is playing much better. I like it.
-
@Jayrawks1 terrible call. Zebra assumed there was a foul
-
Texas offense B12 ranks - PPG - LAST; off. efficiency - LAST; FG% - LAST; 3PT% - LAST.
-
Allen is 17 and 15 so far.
-
Missed the ft ball don’t lie
-
@stoptheflop said:

Allen and Cleare have 28 -17; Lucas and Bragg have 8 and 10…
-
@DCHawker part of the solution is for us to go inside and draw fouls on them
-
Sucks for Allen. Hope he’s ok.
-
Good hustle LL
-
@approxinfinity looking ok
-
@stoptheflop Fact is Allen is no pushover. Our guys can’t physically match up with a lot of bigs but our guards can outscore damn n at anyone. That U.K. game will be a great litmus test for our offense. Hopefully we can keep everyone healthy cause we don’t have a defense to fall back on this year
-
Wow for being upperclassmen our guys are so sloppy with the ball.
-
@HawkChamp Svi and Josh super clumsy in transition. Maybe thats the Havoc effect.
-
@approxinfinity Good years man, ride that wave long as you can. Am happy for ya.
-
@globaljaybird eh I don’t know about that. We can match up if they execute correctly. Unfortunately, we too often see careless defense and poor focus which has resulted in easy points. When our guys were locked in at the beginning, did Texas score easy points? No.
-
@globaljaybird
-
@globaljaybird and yes, the defense is very, very good when they want it to be. Otherwise, we see other teams score easily, which creates an erroneous impression that this is how it is going to be.
-
Allen back
-
@HawkChamp agreed. above all else, just hope we enter the tournament healthy and hungry. then we’ll see what we’re really made of.
-
booooooooooooo
-
JJ 2 threes? Oh lawdy. gonna be all green light now!
-
PHANTOM CALL ALERT
-
Going to have 40 mph winds tomorrow and it is starting to pick up now. Hunker Down.
-
Get used to Lucas not scoring. We could be looking at a 4 game drought with the upcoming match-ups.
-
Which is OKAY he still does other good things.
-
Josh got fouled
-
@RockChalkinTexas gettin too windy here too… it’s all yours .
-
@BShark I still think we could throw it in to him more
