@mayjay gone but not forgotten…

@Lulufulu stop day

@Lulufulu HA! I just got another good laugh. I can never focus on that guy B Rush without erupting into mirth. In that book BEYOND THE PHOG Sherron Collins really waxed eloquent about Brandon, claiming, “B Rush is one of the goofiest guys I know.” Of Rush’s tendency to avoid open jumpers in lieu of putting the ball on the floor and driving left, Collins said, “Coach Self used to tell him he had a magnet in his left nut that pulled his hand down toward the floor and forced him to dribble.”
-
@REHawk If you folks haven’t ever read BEYOND THE PHOG, you must find a copy of that fine book. Especially, read Chapter 33, the Sherron Collins section. His commentary about Rush, Self, Hudy: O MY!
-
@REHawk That is an outstanding book. Over 400+ pages of all player quotes, 1st person narrative style.
Regarding Rush, perhaps all the snide comments about “cant go left” really got to him & he set up to prove everyone wrong. I do consider him successful since he dropped 25 on UNC, outplayed clunky-hustle PsychoT, then drove left x 2 vs CDR of Memphis to finish at the rim. He had to regain confidence in his knee, and he did. I agree with @jaybate-1.0 about using him as THE standard for Self wings, as not only could he score, but did the glue things of rebound and defend. Better than Travis, Ben, Xavier, Wiggins, Brady. Josh Jackson performs closest, if not slightly more dynamic, due to his passing ability. Havent seen a tougher frosh, other than frosh Mason and frosh Sherron. I recently watched a frosh game of Rush, and he was extremely active, both ends of the floor, almost in every play. As a frosh. Wiggins had his moments, but he brightest lights were after his KU yr. Not knocking Wiggs here.
But Coach…that club was crackin’!.."
-
How does this gal rate on the hot to crazy scale if true.
-
@ralster I don’t think any freshman, including Mason and Sherron, was called on to play so many minutes in his freshman year - and at the end of games he was often put on the opponent’s most dangerous offender. Iron man.
Jackson is kind of a blend of Rush and Julian Wright as far as talent, but with more of a Jackie Robinson attitude: whatever it takes to beat ya. This year’s team is a good team for him to be on.
-
Word on the street is there is video footage that will clear Carlton Bragg. Hopefully that is true.
-
Jackson has proven to be a quick learner as well. Remember all the silly fouls at the beginning of the season? You don’t see them any more and he is playing under control the great majority of the time. Really impressed on how well he is progressing; I can’t think of a better or more impact player going back to Manning. Wiggins was also very good but at times too deferential; Jackson is a lot more assertive than Wiggins was while at KU.
-
@Statmachine thanks for the info man. If you hear anything else, keep us posted please.

“Countries have gone to war over guano so it is big time s##t. LOL”
Not sure about countries, but weed growers have definitely gone to battle over bat guano… it turns out to be the very best fertilizer for pot.
I heard a rumor once that a guy found a big cave full of bat guano and he made a fortune selling it to weed growers.
-
@ParisHawk Thats a great analogy, I like the comparison.
-
Believe it or not Bolivia, Peru and Chile went to war over guano fertilizer and salitre in 1879 in what it is called the War of the Pacific.

Embiid ? Maybe Jackson makes the other players better more than Joel, but Joel erased lots of mistakes and made some great outlet passes, in addition to his individual accomplishments.
-
@JayHawkFanToo Nah, Darnell was a glue guy with a ring. At least that’s what I thought the first time I read your statement. Haha.
-
I didn’t know that. Interesting…
-
Yes, No question that Embiid showed signs of greatness while at KU but it took him longer to get there (he started 20 of the 28 games he played) and once he became productive he got injured (at Texas) and was not quite the same after that and then he was out for the rest of the season. Jackson has been very productive and started since day one and hopefully he will be a critical component of this team and a potential Championship,

The latest update on the case: Bragg filing for self defense and should have an update on the motion within five days.

@MR11 great news, let’s get this behind us! Get her out of here!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 KCTV5 now reporting Bragg charges dropped Video showed it all.

@globaljaybird
"The Douglas County District Attorney’s office on Wednesday dismissed the misdemeanor battery charge against Kansas basketball player Carlton Bragg and filed a battery charge against Saleeha Soofi, the woman who claimed Bragg punched her."
Cased closed for him, for her…not so much…

@HawkInMizery ya i saw a picture of her and was not impressed come on, Bragg lol
-
Heck, this girl is now likely to lock down her very own reality tv show. Compete with the Kardashians.
-
@REHawk Maybe she will go on Celebrity Apprentice and really start throwing accusations out there.
-
@mayjay Sounds as tho she might be working up a head start in generating FAKE NEWS. Might become a winner on that program.
-
@kjayhawks me either! Her twitter picture looks good and granted it was a mug shot with no makeup on but woof. Bragg could definitely do better.
