NCAA NON- KU GAMES

They played inspired @Crimsonorblue22. Fun to watch no matter
-
Another freshmen led team flaming out. Knock me over with a feather

GROWN. ASS. MEN.
Two guys in their third year and the rest of their rotation is 4th and 5th year guys.
-
I mean… the Princeton coach is about to get a job right?
-
Texas is rolling out the thug ball. elbows are flying…
-
Timmy back
-
@BShark if Xavier beats Texas i would agree. Cant believe Im all in on purple kitties.
-
I just can’t do either one. I’m a $hitty person!
-
Packed house at the Midwest Regional in KC. Great job, NCAA!
-
I thought the SDSU senior forward Mensah looked very good tonight. 6’10” senior. I wonder if he might be a grad transfer?

Would’ve looked the same had KU been in the region since they didn’t make it past the weekend.

The Princeton coach is a Princeton alum that was on the 1996 team that upset UCLA in the 1st round. Not a guarantee he would leave.
-
Kinda cool YouTubeTV put the women’s tournament in multi view

Jim Larranaga looking good for back to back Elite 8’s.
Houston’s weak schedule being exposed as a fraudulent 1 seed.
Go Princeton Tigers! There wouldn’t be one American other than the team they’re playing cheering against Princeton should they continue this run.
The people who get paid with big ratings for the NCAA tournament are maybe getting a little nervous. While it’s fun to see the underdogs, they’re almost never ratings powerhouses because the casual observer will tune in for a blue blood FF like last year but won’t tune in as much for FAU or SD State, or Princeton, or Xavier or even Kstate. Gonzaga will draw eyeballs but they have a tough draw tomorrow.
@cragarhawk The possibility of a KState final is certainly possible at this point.
I’m still amazed at that no defense KSU-MSU game.
John Higgins I just saw reffing a sweet 16 game it looked like.
Houston lost for two reasons. They play the same style as Virginia, very slow tempo, low possession games and Marcus Sasser has been less than 100% this tournament. With the extreme slow tempo, when they have an off night, it can do downhill really quickly for them the way it did for Virginia 5 years ago.
-
At this point, Go Zags! I wouldn’t be upset to see Mark Few finally win a title since that’s the only thing missing from his resume.
-
Changing the subject. Rory hit a driver 346 carry that rolled to a 375 yard pin yesterday left him with a 5 footer which was conceded as it was matchplay. Incredible. Announcer called it maybe the greatest drive in the history of golf.
-
If Miami gets both teams in the Final Four, would they be the second school to get both basketball teams to the Final Four the same season? I know UConn has done it 3 times with both winning it all in 2004 and 2014, but is there another school that’s done it besides UConn?
-
Xavier players are losing their composure. Kunkle had a cheapshot on Rice going for a layup.
-
First time in NCAA history that not a single 1 seed in elite 8 or final four.
Whomever ends up in the championship game next week, I’d Love to see if anyone anywhere picked the two teams…
March Crap shoot madness

I doubt there’s many accurate title game picks from the left side (South and East) of the bracket. There’s probably a lot of brackets that have some combination of Texas, Gonzaga, and UConn from the right side (Midwest and West) of the bracket.
-
UT would absolutely be crazy to not hire Terry as their permanent coach at this point.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 True to form for Xavier.
-
My Texas FF pick is looking brilliant!
-
“In the final analysis, Alabama sacrificed every shred of its institutional integrity for a meager Sweet 16 run.”
-
I’ll beat you to the punch: yes, it’s Pat Forde. Yes, he’s a jerk. But a broken clock is right twice a day. And he’s right on this. The embarrassment of Alabama bb is now out of the tournament, thank God. If they had won the tournament, it would’ve left an indelible stain on the sport, imo.
-
@Jethro It’s not like they had fake classes or paid players. Sheesh College basketball is corrupt af. and only gonna get worse with the NIL business aspect.

I will not comment about Darrell Arthur I will not comment about Darrell Arthur I will not comment about Darrell Arthur I will not comment about Darrell Arthur.
XD

@Texas-Hawk-10 FAU is 52 miles from Miami. Not quite the same as UNC-Duke in the same FF last year, but in a non-basketball crazy state like Florida it’s really remarkable.
-
Texas makes their coaching decisions with input from outside of the athletic department. Never quite sure of the results. Sometimes it seems they reach for a reason to hire or fire.
-
@Jethro @BShark there have been documented shady dealings in college basketball since the 1951 CCNY team. The difference is players getting paid, shaving points and academic corruption. I’m glad Bama is out but comparing such to someone being murdered is apples to oranges to the aforementioned stuff.
-
@kjayhawks I think it goes back to before 1951. I have it on good authority that James Naismith changed an F to a D so one of his players could be eligible on his first KU team.
-
@wissox They even used to bring the bling to the court in peach baskets!
-
Trap game: Vegas would make so much money if Silo Tech loses. The line is K-State -1.5 up to -2. 90% of the money is on K-State. I think Fau wins, and Vegas makes a fortune.
-
@Jethro I let my previous winnings ride on KSU again tonight…
-
FAU runs some fun sets
-
-
FAU has very balanced offense. Very effective big. Can shoot 3s. And, can penetrate off the dribble…
-
KSU deciding to just wrap up and throw the fau big an to the floor every time down the floor now that the foul’s differential is so big. Refs letting it all go.
-
But hey the score is close so mission accomplished, right?
-
Hard to say which is worse, bigs getting absolutely manhandled trying to post up or just camping out in the lane for like 8 seconds. Not sure if it’s a chicken or the egg situation but they seem connected.
-
About ready to throw a flag for holding

Not on the other side. What is a guy supposed to do if they are going to let a 7 footer just plant two feet in the paint for an entire possession without moving at all?

TOs keeping KSU close. FAU completely dominating the glass - +14. And, they haven’t missed a FT…
-
@BShark really think the strategy was to work the foul count on that one. When FAU got into the double bonus with having only 3 or four fouls the other way, KSU turned up the physicality daring the refs to make FAU shoot free throws every possession for 10 minutes in a half.

Yep. Both teams weaknesses are showing. Interesting game.

That FAU big is so good at keeping the ball high. Not sure I’ve seen a big that good at it in a while.

Unless Johnson goes off in the 2nd half, this looks like FAU’s game…

They need to get Key going for sure.
