Murrell a former top 40 kid from IMG.
140 made 3’s. Career 77% FT shooter, got to the FT line 200 times in the last two years. Harris for example has been to the line just 81 times in 3 years.
Shooting numbers and PER definitely impacted by playing out of position and on a bad team.

@BShark Gotta wonder what the system is for “contacting” guys in the portal. Hard to tell what REAL interest looks like. If we are looking at 20 players but have 4 spots, who is really at the top of the pecking order? Same for the player. If you are listing 25 schools, might as well not list any, right?
When is the deadline to transfer? Like, when does the portal CLOSE?
I think another big is probably a good idea with both Cam and Zach leaving. Udeh and Zuby are both unproven and KJ is really more of a 4 than a 5. Wouldn’t be my TOP priority though.

No? If he goes along with MJ we have room for 4 guys. We want him gone. MJ is the flex spot and hasn’t actually decided yet though there are rumors swirling.

Oh. I read your post as only taking 2 guys and if MJ stays only taking 1. If we are assuming KCJ is leaving we have room for 3 regardless of MJ.

Yeah taking 3-4 guys. Whether or not we add 2 wings depends on MJ since we view him as a wing not a guard.

In all seriousness, mcd’s class had some crazy athletes but after seeing this year 22-23 year old men win the tourney I think a mix of 4 returnees, 4 frosh and 4 transfers is solid. I’d take the older senior who tests the nba and comes back for 1 year over the 18 year old mcd

@kuballin10 My concern is that is a lot of NEW on the floor for us next year. That’s the biggest reason I keep thinking KJ will play the 4 some if not a lot. It’s the only way to get 3 players with Bill Self experience on the floor at the same time.
Yes, Remy was new and made a huge impact, but none of that came until March. Kev and Gradey made big contributions as newbies this year but I think we can all agree Gradey is SPECIAL and Kevin was basically the best possible fit for a Bill Self transfer anyone could imagine. Will be interesting to see if any of the newbies have the constitution to be the type of player you have to be to get on the floor for a Self coached team. I think the 4 returnees will all play a major role. Hoping Elmarko is also SPECIAL. Not sure any transfer out there will FIT like Kevin did but hopefully they can grow into contributors by the end of the year. Could be a rough start to the season…

I get the concern about how many newbies we’ll have. Still returning the same amount of starters at least but a lot less filler in the reserve pile. The main difference this year will be bringing in 4 transfers but needing all of them to be difference makers and rotation pieces. I think we can safely shoe-in Elmarko for a major role like Gradey was able to carve out. The other 3 will probably be like Rice/Udeh/Zuby- hopefully one emerges as the season goes on.
While concerned, I’m more excited about what the roster will look like after this mania is over. He’s got all the playing time available he needs to reload the roster up
