The light is shining bright on Gradey for sure.
Unfortunately it’s exposed a few things as well.
Seems like he’s lost his form a bit at times trying to get open on the 3 pt line. Super rushed. I have all the confidence in the world he’ll sort it out soon.
-
He’s trying to adjust to the defenses. Everyone knows he gets his shot off super-fast. He won’t have that issue in the NBA. His offensive game imo is still far-far away from being a finished product. He has all the makings of an elite shooter/shot maker and it’s going to take time before he’s finished developing. We won’t see him at his best but it sure is fun watching him at the beginning of his journey as well.
Gradey will probably be different then some of our recent guys that have gone to the league. They developed a full game before going. Gradey will leave with a high degree of development still to reach which is part of why he’s a potential lottery selection.

Yup. I’d for sure like to see him at his best in Year 2!
Maybe with the NIL $$$$, he’ll stick around.

Adidas did sign him this year. About the only hope we have there I believe

I’m a little surprised to see Dajuan’s name on that list but great to see none the less.

Jalen as a 1st round guy is a take. I love Jalen but I don’t really see much of a NBA career for him.
-
Yeah coming into the year I never would have thought he could be a draft prospect but I’m sold on him playing at the next level when his career is done now after seeing him so far this season. He’s going to go down as one of the best PG’s in KU history imo.
Self has been lobbying for him all season as underrated and I think that’s part of the plan to get him the attention he deserves for after KU.
-
@BeddieKU23 When he came to KU I was like wow, he shoots threes like a junior high kid. He still has the motion of having to ‘wind up’ his shot from the hip. I can’t imagine that shot working in the NBA even as he’s shooting it at a 52% clip this year. (5-5’s do wonders for shooting percentages for low volume shooters)

Feels like the perfect 2-way guy for a bad team trying to lose games without ACTUALLY throwing games.
