Only if you donāt have a 6-5 or taller receiver that can out jump DBās. If you have a receiver like that, then a goal line fade is still a solid play choice.
-
Terry had a nice fall camp. Under the radar guy who should be reliable
-
That drive was hawt
-
How early does Bean start playing in the 2nd half?
-
Daniels 14-15 for 182. What a guy
-
Fun times
-
Halftime canāt come too soon for the crowd. Need to give their arms a break after all that wheat-waving.
-
5 RBs have carried the ball, but only 64 yds rushing. Kind of disappointing, but not on the scoreboard.
-
Honestly I believe switching from chrome to white numbers has given us two scores

KU has generally had a short field tonight so total yards shouldnāt be too high, but a 5.5 ypc is a solid number.
-
Ah I see Borcila is still terrible
-
LONNIE
-
Kickers!
-
Not a shove in the back?
-
S/O Dooley
-
Hishaw looks to have passed Thomas and Morrison
-
Bean has added some bulk. He must not have any hands at all.
-
Gilyard! Transfers have looked terrific
-
KU looks solid enough to where they could upset someone who ends up finishing in the top half of the Big 12.
-
Beanš«(?)
-
We rollin
-
Valuable reps for the backups here. Really watching #7 McCaskill
-
Beat the spread by a few touchdowns. Good start
-
Game wasnāt much of a measuring stick, but itās a W. Next two games on the road will give us a lot better idea.
-
Some bad turnovers but wow that first half was something. Iāll give us a B

like they were talking on the radio. for over 3 quarters they were doing things we hadnāt done in the past , things like not having to call a time out because of dis organization - - having to call a time out because of 21 men on the field - -to many penalities , sloppy play. I think it just look like the defense was a lot quicker to the ball , more athletic. - -Phelps / Defensive end - - 3 sacks I think he is going to be a stud. - -DEEP DEEP DEEP at running back.
Big step up next week I just want to see us play /be more competitive
-
How about 297 on the ground?! Looking forward to next week
-

Actually looking off KU Athletics box score and 304 yards rushing - and 205 yards passing - total of 509 - - Tech had 226 yards. - -Lonnie Phelps is a stud I think
-
-
Qbās and rbs looked really good. D pretty good. Wish we could use Bean in the O somewhere.

This was still a measuring stick game because of how much KU has struggled to beat even mediocre to bad FCS teams in recent years and Tennessee Tech didnāt really do much of anything until late when KUās starters were out of the game.
KU probably still gets blown out a couple of times this year, but Iām expecting KU to be competitive in a lot of their games this year and even pull an upset against a good team this season. This group has a lot of confidence right now and that do a lot for a team.
Iām still looking at 4 wins for this team and probably a last place finish or tied for last in the Big 12, but KU isnāt going to be basically a bye week for teams this year.
-
Well Iāll say this. We got West Virginia fans attention to say the least. Ya there is still fans that say it shoul be a pretty easy game. Yet others are saying donāt sleep on Ku how even though this was an FCs school Ku look good - - Daniels looked good.
Think we probably open around a 12/13 point underdog
-
Another thing I noticed , for the 1st game of the year e really played clean. - -For the first three qtrs Iām not sure if we had ANY penalties, if any - not many. - OL was focus , on defense 5 sacks - -I think at one point we had 11 TFLāS - -think we may of ended up with more - -dam Iām not sure if we had that many TFLāS the entire season last year. - True not a P-5 but havin said that , just looks like a more athletic , aggressive , quicker team. - - Houston didnāt look that impressive , hope we can give them a game. ā WV - -Texas Tech Even Iowa St might be interesting
