KU goes on the road, plays short handed 12 Steals Joe 3 steals I think they said 4 rebounds , 6 points - -KU shoots 56 % from the field - - their 2nd highest % of the season. – -Brockington for ISU scored 24 points but had to take 28 shots to get thos points and ISU shot in the 20"s field goal wise - -Pretty good night overall

I remember Herb Nobles was a great leaper…on offense. Leaped sideways on D. Literally saw him have five shooting fouls in a game where they were all made baskets.

Enanura started, but only played 8 minutes and scored 2 pts, with 0 rebounds and 1 turnover. I always liked him and wanted him to do well. Seemed like he had great potential. But maybe his transfer wasn’t such a loss for us. Like others, I thought he might blossom elsewhere, but maybe it wasn’t all Self’s fault for not giving him a longer leash.

@Kcmatt7 I did some checking. 19 players saw the floor. 17 had careers in professional basketball.

@tundrahok I was sad to see him go. I think Self does great with wings (see CB/Och/Wigs/Rush/BMac/Releford/Oubre/Henry) and that’s why I think he would have done well here in the end.
But JCL was an upgrade for this year, no doubt

Staff wanted Tristan back he was not booted. Just to put that on the record if it hasn’t been already.
He is basically the same player now in year 3. Just plays a bit more and somewhat more efficient. Counting stats still aren’t great because he isn’t always engaged as we know.

@Jethro Francis let’s roll with it Huge win - best defensive game we’ve played all year…wonder why that was?
It’s frustrating coach has to get lineups right and play the right guys. That’s what he’s paid to do and is a hall of famer. He’s messed it up back to HEM days and well before that.
Just frustrated because it stunts our growth and we are trying to “figure it out” each February.
When the coach admits maybe I was playing the wrong guys that’s pathetic.
Can you fathom is Kerr, Saban or Reid actually said that?
You can be happy for the win but his job is to play the right guys and have the team at the best it can be. This game revealed what many talk about.
Positives and negatives…dont worry I’m grinning ear to ear from just crushing the cyclones dreams for 2022 but doesn’t mean it removes the big picture and massive coaching failure (yes, you can be 18-3 but if you ask yourself am I playing the right players at that point…well I don’t need to explain).
Big picture is crucial

You know like I always do , checking out the others teams fans message boards before and or after for tid bits. Got to say kind of nice for a change to be able to go to the fore mentioned board and not see anyone trying to come up with excuses as to why they got beat except the real reason they got beat. - -Just a couple of posters on about the refs ( are you kidding me ) but yet in general was good not a lot of sniffling talking about being robbed or how KU buys the refs off - -nice for a change
