Thank you Kirk Cousins and Jalen Hurts. Who would have thought we could be in 1st place the way weâve played. A dumb fumble away from a 1.5 game lead and a real shot at the #1 seed stillâŚ
I do think we basically have to finish the season 6-0 to get the #2 seed, but the schedule is favorable and we are playing our best football. I wouldnât put it past Andy or Pat.

Good luck to your high school team, BTW. Too bad my HS isnât around anymore, but at least we won the state football title my senior year.
It was great to see the trophy again when somebody brought it to our reunion dinner last month.

ď¸It was part of a bizarre school year with lots of ups and downsâŚwe won the state FB title, then the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. On the down side, we lost three teachers in a car crash that fall, and the school was almost shut down for good the following spring. (It eventually happened a year later). Chaotic for sure.

In KC MO. It was a Catholic boysâ school. Rockhurst High was our rival. The two schools used to play for a traveling trophy every year called The Little Brown Jug, a real wooden keg with scores of each yearâs game. We managed to beat them all four years I was there.

It will be a challenge for sure, Dak is playing his ass off. But I think weâll pull it off, are playing in Arrowhead afterall.

Chiefs D looking great so far. Mahomes, not so much. Only 11 of 18 in the first half. Might be good enough though.
Dak not so hot either. 13 of 21, but for only 68 yards, no TDs and a Chiefs pick.

Still a ways to go, but with the Raiders, Tennessee and Buffalo losing today, things look good for a playoff spot at the VERY least.

I think Ingram trade has lit a fire under Jones and Clarke, they are playing so much better now.
Also, moving Jones to DE was a bad idea, keep him in the middle.

This is just my humble opinion, but while Troy would seem to have a conflict of interests broadcasting the Cowboys game, I believe he was there more for the Arrowhead experience than for his beloved Cowboys.
Itâs easy to tune out Joe Buck and Aikman for their banter, but they said on multiple occasions how incredible the venue and the tailgating experience is in Kansas City and how itâs one of the best atmospheres in all of sports. And theyâre correct. The Sunday ritual takes a backseat to no one and Iâm sure any broadcast team would want to be a part of it to soak up the sights, the sounds, the smells and the tastes that come with game day in KC.

I have been thinking about Chiefs draft picks under Veatch.
Overall, Veatch has done an outstanding job in drafting Offensive players but the same cannot be said about Defensive draft picks.
Is there a correlation or is this a coincidence?

Chiefs have a shot at the 1 seed still unbelievably and I still say they have a favorable schedule. They canât lose a game, but Iâm at a point where I think they might notâŚ

Having lost to Ravens, Titans and Bills, tiebreaker outlook does not favor Chiefs.
KC will have to win out and others will have to lose a few games.

Try and picture this , watching the Rams & Cardinals game - try and picture a 6â1 - -312 Defensive lineman - -running down Kyler Murray from behind in the open field - - lol t5hatâs pretty dam good - - kind of a little yuck lol

Chiefs note, josh Gordon in covid protocol. Heâs vaxxed so he needs 2 neg tests, 24 hrs apart. Guess he has the sniffles. Stinks for him after big day, well breaking out day.

Chiefs going to struggle to win one Thursday with all of the Covid chaos. But - if they do win I think they take the #1 seed like I predicted awhile ago.

Titans have @Steelers, SF, Miami all back to back. I think they drop 1.

Patriots have @ Indy, Bills and @ Dolphins. I think they drop 1 of their next 2. And then Patriots are notorious for losing in Miami.

Ravens have Packers, Bengals and Rams left on their schedule.
I think at this point the biggest fear is winning this week. And Pat not getting mixed up in the Covid protocols.
I donât see a way the Steelers beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead. I think the Bengals will be tough, but if the defense is back to 100% I think we take care of business⌠Broncos likely eliminated by week 18 so I donât think theyâll come with much of a fight.
There is a situation where Chiefs can rest their starters week 18, and I donât even think it is that far fetched. Titans drop 2 of their next 3. Pats drop their next 2. This requires the Chiefs win on Thursday though⌠And Iâd be lying if I said I felt confident now that we will be missing several key pieces on the defense.
