I think Walker and Grady would move the needle enough for next year.
-
@BShark idk, too early to say. I hope we get involved though.
-
portal hitting 750
Savion Flagg- Texas A&M
Armaan Franklin- Indiana
Joe Bamisile- Virginia Tech
Brendan Adams- Uconn
Tye Fagan- Georgia
-
KU will be taking a look at Brandon McKissic.
-
750? Thats insane. Thats like 50 full teams including walk ons.
-
KU will add 3+ to the list. I’d set the over/under at 3.5
-
Donovan Williams and Royce Hamm of Texas enter the portal
-
Xavier Pinson of methzu in
-

I’d probably go under but 3.5 is the perfect betting number for it. Will be 3 or 4 leaving.
-
Erik Stevenson with the old double transfer.

oh damm thats kind big - -Hamm not a bad player
-
Brendan mckissic just got done with a completed cell with Kansas
-
@BShark hardest of passes
-
McKissic might be one you can get to be the bench guard with experience. 50% fg, 42% from 3, 3 ast, 1.5 stls. Troubling that he is a below 70% ft shooter and turns the ball over at a high rate. If he is the 2nd transfer guard we get to a better one im good with it.
Remember watching him last yr at the sprint center in person and thought he was one of 2 roos that could compete
-
Busy day in the portal. Up to 800 names now. Lots to unpack
Josh Roberts- St Johns
Rodney Chatman- Dayton (good defender, Harris type)
John Newman- Clemson
Feron Flavors- Oklahoma St
Jordan McCabe- West Virginia
Mickey Pearson- TCU
Aaron Wheeler- Purdont’
Darius McNeill- SMU
Jalen Johnson- Wake Forest
-
PG Jamir Harris choose Seton Hall. Patriot league star averaged 20 ppg

Yeah he took a big jump this year. I think he’d be a bench guy as well.
Seems like the names to pay close attention to for KU are Walker, Washington and McKissic. Possibly Bobby Pettiford.
-
Mckissic was defensive POY in the conference as well. He’s not a starter at program like KU but I would definitely be intrigued with him coming in to be a rotation piece. Doesn’t help us get bigger, longer, athletic though… Walker and Ty Washington/Pettiford do that…

Isaiah Moss 2.0. You’d think in the right role where doesn’t have to go get 18 every night the TO rate would go down. Just come in and be a 3 and D guy for 15-20 MPG.

Whoaaa , wait what ? - - ok let me ask was McCabe a SR at West Virginia if not I don’t understand he was seeing quite a bit of playing time he was a SR right so would be a grad transfer also kind of curious about flavors transferring - -seem like he was getting quite a bit of floor time
-
This transfer situation is just getting insane
-
Both were bench players. Believe McCabe was a Jr.
-
Tyson Walker will announce this weekend what school he will be transferred to Michigan stMaryland Texas Kansas Miami Vanderbilt
-
Oh boyy. Hope its KU
-
Not landing him would be very ungood
-
Maybe the most ideal part of the season ending is having the chance to recruit him into the weekend.
-
In slaterbombs we trust’
-
I like our chances

This one is with Self I believe. Could wrap soon. 15-20 minute guy off the bench I think

Mentioned in a twitter group chat yesterday that he would be a Moss type addition.
Fun fact: you add this kid and Xavier Johnson for TGF and Enaruna, KU projects as the #2 team in the country. Of course other teams will improve too, but yeah.
-
@FarmerJayhawk Is this because they don’t feel good about Walker?
-
I think getting Mckissic would be in addition to another. Self knows he needs guards and he’s local that’s ideal circumstances. Get one to start, one to have a rotation role. We’ll see how it shakes out
-
@Woodrow I think independent of Walker. McKissic seems like a bench/role player off the ball
-
Agree with the two posts above me. McKissic is a complementary player and would be good to have as a secondary ball handler but not primary. Add him in addition to Walker or TyTy imo. Then suddenly the ball handling situation is in GREAT shape with two point guards (Harris being one) and McKissic.
Also McKissic has the added benefit of only having one year left. We don’t want to muddy things too much when we have Cuffe coming.
-
I guess to me it just seems weird to take a rotational guy before a starter. However, I guess in these transfer times you have to take what you can get when you can.

Yeah they need both so I don’t think order matters too much.
-
Walker will announce this weekend. Not sure when McKissic will pop but obviously Self and the staff have been in quick contact. I think these situations are not exclusive.
To me this does speak to someone in the starting 5 or rotation that won’t be returning. That’s just a guess right now or they feel McKissic is a good rotation 2 guard that would split minutes with Thompson (theoretically). So many possible moving parts.
-
@BeddieKU23 I think we can all assume Marcus is gone.

So whats the feeling ? - - what’s the gut say ? - - are we in the race for Walker ? -I mean in a serious race for Walker ? - -who is the main competition for him you think ? - -he would be nice watched his film really sweet

I still believe he will be very good for Kansas, he just had a tough FR year with injuries.
-
@BShark Yea he just has a lot of development left to go. And besides injuries the weird offseason killed guys. We saw what 5* players looked like at UK and Duke without a normal offseason to get them off to a good start.
-
Ya, Tyson Walker down to his final 6 he said KU - - Michigan State - -Vanderbilt - - Maryland - -( Turg hands off ) - - Texas - - & Mia /Fla. - - Only like the 6th freshmen for them in their history with over 100 assists/104 in the Season and 56 Steals. - - CAA Defensive player of the year , 1st Team all CAA his freshmen year & 18.8 per. - -watching differnet video’s that Matt Tait posted - -kid has got some deep range What’s our real chances ?
-
Would bet a large sum on McKissic being a Jayhawk.
Soon ️
