I’d be a taker if we had no other options. We’ll have Harris back and I like him, but we need another guy also who can and will take shots.

So far there isn’t a “must go after” one that’s hit. Some have pleaded for the Pittsburgh PG Johnson but he has his issues. The next month will be fun to watch how many hit the portal.
I don’t know let me ask you this. Do we REALLY need a PG next Season ? I mean is it an absolute must ? The reason I ask is I just wonder we the PT DeJuan is getting and or experience , I think actually if he has or will grown from experience wise this Season and off Seasoning Conditioning knowing the system even better , I just don’t think it’s a must need for us do you ? I think if Harris could work well enough to be able to run the team distribute the ball , were going to have enough Scoreres on the offensive end w ith what we will return and what’s coming in - -I realize no PG coming in but - we know Harris is going to be another Marcus before it;s said and done on the defensive end , already disruptive- -I could be wrong , for me I just don’t think it’s a 5 alarm bell if we don’t land that PG. Seems like we got one in the fold right here - - -right now has shown enough at times this year. I think with this years experience he has gotten little man would work fine.
Bryce could even probably spot fill in when Harris is resting, Bryce has played that a tad bit this year right ? - I’m not saying your one that has said we have to have that Pg , I’m more asking you - - your opinion in question form - -do you think we do ?

My concerns with Johnson are the fouls and shot selection. There’s a concern he’s a bit of a red flag… His coach certainly put him on blast and then he left shortly after. He was benched for bad on the court behavior… Not the best look tbh. This is one you tred carefully with. Maybe he just really needs a fresh scene. I like the fit for KU but I’m worried.

Absolutely this team needs a PG.
Harris has had his moments this season but he needs more development before we rely on him 30 minutes a game. The better question is, without getting a PG who’s his backup. That’s even scarier.

The smallest player in D-1 Darnell Rogers (5’2) is transferring from UMBC. Kid had a feature on Gameday over the weekend, has a following.

At the same time - you have to ask the question if he is really that much more of a positive on the court than just playing Harris. If you don’t think he is much of an upgrade (stats with Johnson are definitely misleading) than I get why we aren’t pressing hard.
I want Johnson though. He is a high level athlete and I think Bill could probably get more out of him than Capel. Turnovers and shot selection are an issue, but we just do not have anyone on our roster that can go fetch a bucket the way Johnson can. He is a playmaker on the floor.
At the same time, the staff probably pays good money to have sources with ears to the ground about who they think ends up shaking loose. They may have a target in mind already.
He is a real target.

Storm is a very good shooter. Haven’t seen him this yr but from what I remember, not a great athlete below the rim type guy but certainly knows how to run a team.

Hes absolutely the type of shooter that this team needs. 2.9 made 3s a game. He’s a really gifted shooter

Another year of development and I think its worth the discussion if he can start here. But it all comes down to him becoming a 100% more aggressive and gifted offensive player. His defense, his passing, his IQ are all good enough but if he doesn’t find a way to score its just hard to see him having an expanded role

6’4, 64 made 3’s on 48% FG%.
Twelve 20 points games this year including a stretch of 7 straight.
I think this one ends up at a big school…

I hear ya buddy, that’s what I’m talking about too. - -I mean ya the cloud of the pending NCAA crap has hurt but yet surely out of all these kids. IF we really want a quality player , out of ALL THESE GUYS you mean to tell me that there is NOT ONE that would want to come and get the chance to play for one of the most historic Blue Bloods that has some of the greatest fans and tradition? - If that’s the case someone is not doing their job

Probably not KU level but PG Stef Smith of UVM hit the portal today. Really solid performer for them for 4 years. Good shooter (42% from 3 as a Jr), numbers dipped a bit this year with their shortened season. Tough kid should end up a decent school

Earl Timberlake of Miami is transferring. Played only a handful of games due to injuries, was a Top 40 recruit and highly coveted one at that. Was mocking in the first round of drafts before the season. Imagine he’s going to be one of the top 5 guys on the market Says he’s open to anyone, his recruitment first time around was shall I say interesting, if you catch my drift

Like Slater said, LM and MM are going to be feeders for the big boys. There will be a ton of player movement this offseason.
