-
@Crimsonorblue22 Very true, it’s good to see and follow possibly more likely stars in the N.B.A in the near future - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer54 but, you know down times are coming, no NBA guys from KU in the future.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 YOU funny guy, I like that, you a comedian? roflmfao - – -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Doesn’t sound like Sexton is KU bound. Wants to play through mistakes (that ain’t going to happen with Bill Self) and stay close to home (Georgia).
-
@DanR although self did mention he was going to let Josh and doke play thru mistakes. I liked what josh said about our program, he’s a special kid w/a smart, tough mom.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Bonus to watching Wiggs: Brandon and Cole are also with Wolves.
-
@REHawk they were on fox sports 2 quite a bit last year, hope they are again!

You are feeding the monster.
-
@bskeet oops! Not a good idea!
-
If JoJo can stay healthy I have little doubts of him becoming a HUGE NBA star.
His play is dominant, and his presence, both on and off the court, is something that easily gets attention from everyone.
Next will be: can he totally capitalize off of it? Does he want to capitalize off of it?
In 5 years, will we be seeing a shoe empire building the JoJo brand like they did Jordan?
Ha… the market isn’t the same today and I am doubtful of seeing another Jordan shoe success story that equals it.
-
This guy described himself as a sports junkie
Poor @JoelEmbiid had more talent around him when he played at Louisville. The @Sixers are asking us fans to trust a long process. #brutal

@Ralph Thats funny cuz I seem to remember him playing at Kansas. LoL Oh well * Shakin my damm head *
JoJo didnt have a great game against Atlanta but he did have a better stat line than D Howard did and in less time on the court. The guy is a sponge, a basketball sponge. He stays healthy and by seasons end he could be Dominating guys like Dwight and making it look effortless.
@drgnslayr Yah, in 5 yeras time, if he stays healthy, He could be the best Center since Wilt.
-
I am flabbergasted! In just 2 games totaling 37 min of play JoJo has 34pts, 9reb, 4blk, 1ast, 1st… He is soooo rusty after not playing for 2 years!
-
@drgnslayr Can the Rats come up with an appropriate marketing slogan for his shoes? And are they orthopedic shoes? Separate line of orthotics?
-
What about the obvious? “BIG FOOT!”
Jordan was all about “AIR” and deserved to be. JoJo is mostly about footwork. Hmmmm… Ohhhh… got to run so I can trademark that name today! LOL
-
@drgnslayr how about “the shake”?
-
I like to think of Embiid as the harbinger of the end of Small Ball. Let’s see how Lebron and Durant like driving on Joel, once the refs start protecting him as a superstar two years from now.
A great big man with goggles could OWN the NBA for five years. It will take the NBA at least 5 years of scrounging to ramp up quality footers and then it will take another 3-5 years to get these lemming coaches and GMs to figure out how to play big man ball.
If only Joel had more skills, he could go after some of Wilt’s single season records. Joel will NEVER have to play against a Big Russ, or Nate Thurmond early. Lucky Joel!!! It’s almost like he is George Mikan coming into the game again. Tim Duncan was the last big man and he was in the old man stage the last 8 years, so none of the superstars of the L has ever really played against a great big feeling his young oats end to end! Awesome reward for Joel for fighting through all the injuries and believing.
Go slay some lions, MR. EM-BIG!!!
Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

@jaybate-1.0 You’re right, JoEL wont have to play against bigs like Russ or Thurmond or even Shaq. Thats why he could absolutely chase some of Wilt’s single season records. I said earlier that he had a better stat line that Dwight Howard did the other night despite being in foul trouble and D12 has what, 7 years on him? JoJo is such a basketball sponge, he improves so quickly that we could be seeing Wilt like stats from him as early as this season depending on what the Man does with Joel’s minutes restriction and how the Docs feel about his foot with those increases.
The only Big in the league right now that could be a match up problem for Embiid when everything comes together for him is Anthony Davis. Hated him at Kentucky but that guy is going to make a huge push for MVP this year…if only the Pels were a better team, he’d probly be the front runner.

Tongue in cheek? And when did you become a guy? Is there something you haven’t told us?
-
Good point. Forgot about Anthony. He could be Joel’s Big Russ–someone smaller, but fierce competitively and athletically very active. But imagine how much Anthony must be dreading having to deal with Joel backing him down on the blocks. Anthony goes up for a block from point blank range and Joel sweeps him aside like a gnat with one arm and dunks with the other.
ON the other end, Joel has to deal with his activity. It could make them both a lot better, same as it seemed to do for Wilt and Big Russ.
Let’s just hope Joel winds up with the better roster more of the time than Wilt did.

@brooksmd what do you think?
-
I like it!
