2016 Resolutions

To stay up and actually watch the games. It sucks getting up at 4:00 am every day…
To not whine about Self when he doesn’t do the right thing, which means doing it my way.
To read ALL of @jaybate-1.0 's posts (resolutions are never easy)
To not do my happy dance at work any time K-State loses. (my boss and practically everyone else who works here are purple)
To tell my wife that I’m having an online affair so she doesn’t get mad that I spend all my time with YOU guys and gals.

I resolve to persuade my senior in HS daughter to attend KU where she’s already been accepted. She is ruling it out on the basis that she knows no one there and she likes some other schools better. So I ask, how many times will you have a chance to be on ESPN/CBS at those other DIII schools? NEVER! Where else can you have a basketball team be #1 and a football team be #128?
What other school has a chant that is as haunting, and memorable and beautiful and inspirational as the Rock Chalk chant? My goodness, I’m getting more and more steeled in my resolve to see her attend the Harvard by the Kaw by the moment.Oh and I resolve to be less fanatical about KU hoops, but like all other resolutions, it’ll be broken by January 2nd when we play that idiotically coached highlighter uniformed underachieving team from Wacko.

Figure out why our private oligarchy decided to fund 24/7 UFO history channel investigations INSTEAD OF funding investigations of miracles of God? There is no convincing empirically verifiable evidence of either, but alleged miracles of God make me feel safer and less likely to endorse more oil wars. UFO inquiries leave me feeling insecure and powerless and in need of attacking oil fields.

@JRyman Purely from a KU fan resolution making perspective. Thats not as cut and dried as the normal stuff as you mentioned.
I think I would like to be more mindful of how the game is played and try to expand my knowledge of the game in its many facets. I need to watch more than just KU games. I try to but Im not always successful at that, mostly because of time constraints but I do have a dvr so its a lame excuse.

@wissoxfan83 3 of my 4 kids have gone to instate Univ of Ark - Wooo Pig Soieee- or some such idiocy. But! They still wear their KU paraphernalia proudly.
After my college days when I worked for KUAC I had a free pass to games (until IRS got involved and wanted to tax it) and often watched 1st half on TV, walked to AFH for 2nd, squeezed in behind the basket 'cause everyone stood up and pressed in towards center. Was often on ESPN for crowd shots.
Lots of fun seeing the game up close like that!
