2026 Recruiting ( Crazy but )
-
@BeddieKU23 they guy w/the Bama connections, the know it all.
-
Not leaving now but will be
-
I saw tonight that KU made Alijah Arenas final five. - - -wouldn’t get to excited , but who knows
the others are Ariz , USC Ku - -I’m looking at Ariz probably to come out of it- -I think Kentucky is another school too but na.
-
Just read how KU has made great strides with a top notch recruit in the class of 2026 and have things in their favor and is trending really strong.
Caleb Holt a 6’5 SG- - the # one SG in the Nation in 2026 - -& the # three overall ranked player in the Nation has Ku trending really strong for in 2026. --The big advantage for us once again is he is a long time standing Adias kid which helps a lot and as we know helped us plenty with DP , for sure a name /kid to keep an eye one, think we stand a good chance
Once again going to have to fight with Kentucky though then Ol Miss and a couple of others but think things look good. - --ROCK CHALK
-
Rippey and Alozie are becoming a couple of my favorites this class
-
Rippey’s the type of dog we need at the PG position. I mean he plays on the Adidas circuit and his dad played for dooley this shouldn’t be that hard.
-
-
Got to say , were in on some pretty dam good recruits for 2026 players either that’s going to visit, has visited , or visiting again. They said they are really targeting Ethan Taylor visited on 2nd of June. In on pretty heavy Devion Adkins visiting KU on Sept 16th,
Others scheduled to visit-- – -Latrell Almond 0n ( 8-38 ) IKenna Aloziie (10- 17th ) – Billy White III , Deron Rippey ( 11-2 ) to name a few
-
saw this pas along. two 2026 recruits to keep an eye on , first one is Trent Perry has KU in hid final four Schools KU- - – N Carolina St- - - Maryland- —& TCU- - -like our chances
Our other one is Darion Adkins, love our chances here too think it’s going to down to Ku & Houston.- -Originally had six visits scheduled with his sux final Schools. Now has come out and said he had cancelled three visits and focusing on just the other three.
Originally his six schools were Auburn-- – Rutgers – - Houston— Indiana- --& UCLA & KU- -now has Dropped Auburn-- -Indiana-- & UCLA , leaving just Houston-- -Rutgers-- & KU for final three fingers crossed
-
Read where Ethan Taylor made a surprise visit to KU Friday, they weren’t expecting him. Could be great ne for their recruiting him it said. Has unoffical before- --now came Friday and then has his official last of ?Sept can always hop I reckon another seven footer/
-
Happen to read on Kentucky Boards Joe Tipton from on 3 said that KU was once again making a big push on Stokes
-
Nice little recap of where top 2026 targets stand as of late. Several others not mentioned that are top targets (Adkins, Ariza, Collins, Holt, Stokes, Adams). Seems like KU is definitely in it with the right kids from what is not a strong class. Recruiting definitely on the upswing.
Sounds very promising for Taylen Kinney (#13 overall). Top ranked PG on the board. One to monitor closely as he finishes his visit schedule this month.
Ethan Taylor- KU still a perceived Top 2 with Indiana right now, he does have several more officials including KU upcoming.
Sounds like KU is getting involved with Brandon McCoy the #6 overall prospect. A visit to KU could be in the works.
Trent Perry (#120 overall) visits this weekend, has only 2 other planned visits (TCU, Vandy, Maryland also finalist). KU offered in late August.
Alex Constanza, #22 ranked player also visits this weekend. Haven’t heard of him being a prospect until now.
-
Don’t want Constanza at all. He’d have to be the second wing and I’d still prefer Perry for that.
-
Kinney, Ariza and Adkins and then take a swing at McCoy is my dream class
-
@TYOHawk I wany Kinney & Ariza for sure. I think the connection from Bland and Ariz is huge, with him Coaching him for two years can’t hurt for sure—him saying he is coming for a visit very shortly after Bland was hired ought to say something
-
Not sure how many Scholi’s we are going to be available & the so called experts are saying 2026 is a weak class I still feel we are right on the cusp of a very good/solid class.
Didn’t Kinney just visit here last month ? Coincidence that right after his visit here he cancels two scheduled visits and now Louisville which had been looked at as the perceived leader is recruiting a lot harder kind of backing off Kinney-- - kind of makes you wonder, now Kinney announced his commit date ? hmmm I like our chances.
Azira’s connection with Coach Bland sure can’t hurt I Feel good with him too- --Then if we could land Ethan, has made multiple visits 7’1 shot blocker getting better offensively- -that be a very nice trio
-
Question- --has anyone heard how Trent Perry visit go last weekend ?-- -Big weekend this weekend Maximo on campus.
How is people feeling about Kinney ? some fretting that because he is still visiting Arkansas and Coach Cal with NIL they might fly in and take him
-
Perry visit went well and they are in a good position with him but Swain did mention it could take a bit for that situation to sort itself out.
Kinney intel is still good for him signing with the good guys on Sunday
-
Big weekend. Top big target Adkins in town and KU is the heavy favorite for him.
Kinney announces Sunday.
Latest intel says KU still fighting for Stokes.
I’d imagine if the staff was able to get all 3 that they would be set in the HS ranks especially in this down year.
-
It’s getting to the point where I want us to sign our guys like 3 days before school starts because guys decommit so often. I’m kind of amazed that Patterson (I hope I got that name right) is still here because I was sure he’d get lured away by some odd SEC school or something. Glad he’s here. Can’t wait to see him play and then hopefully give us a championship in his only year here. If he doesn’t then I really don’t give a rip that he gave us one year here. I want guys who will go through the good and bad and watch them gel like our 2022 team did. I’ll barely acknowledge he was a Jayhawk like Dick and Furphy.
The great Danny Manning, decided that the pros could wait. Look how that turned out. Chalmers decided the pros could wait. Look how that turned out. Braun and Agbaji same thing. Those are the kind of guys I can say I’m proud were Jayhawks. I know others differ on that opinion and that’s fine.
-
…still irked at Paul Pierce for leaving early.
-
@dylans Yeah that started a bit of drought at KU hoops with quite a few early exits.
-
Trent Perry announcing Wednesday. Sounds very promising with him

Sounds like a “gritty” player. Not a guy you’d figure to contribute year one but who knows.
-
Not big on guys CB has vouched for but it’s whatever

Had the same reaction. But at least this one looks athletic and has tools.

@TYOHawk 247: scouting report reads like a Bill Self wishlist and a fans nightmare
-
I have read enough internet posts to know that the fans understand what it takes to make a good basketball team more than coach Self does.
-
Well seen where we got kinney
-
Taylen Kinney is officially a Jayhawk
-
Strong ass week coming for Bill Self and Kansas basketball.

Lmao a try hard competitor and loose ball savant.

-
What kind of game does TK have? Is there any risk that he will care more about his social media and his brand than the team’s success while here?
-
@Jhawk69 I can’t speak on the second part but he’s a really strong guard with good speed and feel for the game. The ability to change speed reminds me of Dotson.
-
From what I have seen he is a rim finisher with either hand and mid range scorer with a reliable pull up three ball. He is a play maker at 6’1" 185 with a 6’7" wingspan.
-
Tyran Stokes and Davion Adkins
We are coming for you two next
