FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS
-
@stoptheflop Were gonna be just fine
-
I think the boys, me and some littles are going sat! Hope there’s still a ramp. We will be up high and I’m still kinda puny.
️
-
@stoptheflop 1B to Hishaw’s 1A. He’s one of the best backups in the league.
-
I’ve heard complaints about season tickets tripling in price. I haven’t heard how season tickets sales are going and I haven’t heard how many tickets are sold for Fresno St. I sure would like to see a full stadium; expecially since it now holds 10,000 fewer fans. I doubt very many Fresno fans will be attending.
-
I’m not super worried about the running back position myself. Especially if Hishaw can stay healthy I think him and Williams will be a solid 1-2 punch pending on the lines play. I’ll definitely miss Neal out there but an average RB can look pretty decent behind a solid line. Which is a big question mark to me right now. But id say our guys are above D1 average in the back field

GOOD NEWS! KU announced the stadium is sold out for Sat’s game. RC
-
@stoptheflop it will be weird to see where it goes on price I feel like basketball tickets were the same last season with the price going up with less seats but it was harder to sell out. Felt like I seen more empty seats in Allen than ever before. I remember getting football tickets for $15 10 years ago. To me if you don’t have a full stadium you open it up for free in the second half.
-
It will be kind of the first ‘real’ football action for football starved fans across America so a lot of eyeballs will be on us on Fox. ISU-KSU play at 11 from Ireland, and we’re the only other p5 game on the day until late at night when Stanford plays Hawaii. While a win is paramount avoiding an embarrassing showing is also important for people who will either make fun of us ‘same old KU’ type stuff or say ‘wow, maybe KU football is really back’. I think we’ve proven ourselves over the last 3 seasons fairly well, last years regression might have turned off the believers from the year before. In other words, it’s an important game, but i think Lance is ready and will have the guys ready.
-
@kjayhawks I remember when you could get season tickets to K-State if you bought $5 worth of gas. Thanks Bill Snyder

I forgot to mention I’m glad the new stadium got rid of the beer garden in the end zone.
-
Replacing the beer garden, our stadium now has 4 clubs: leaving off the naming rights, they are the Limestone Club, Jayhawk Club, 1921 Field Club and the Patio. There are 2200 seats in the clubs and 800 seats in the 40 Suites. Sales of the premium seats have been much better than estimated by millions of dollars. I have to change my mindset of sitting in decent seats(between the goal line and 20 yd line) for the lowest price. Attending a sporting event now is more about the overall experience with actual cost just a momentary distraction.

I’ve found my couch is a superior experience 99% of the time. Better view than the best seats in any stadium. Company is more intelligent. Price is right too. I’d still go if it was closer - as for the price yikes it’s around $1,000 per decent ticket (first 10 rows behind the bench/good game) to see the Chiefs. Not sure about the minor league (ncaa) pricing.

For my family going to KU football, the objection is still about the parking. I don’t use the shuttles because I want to leave when I want to leave. I don’t mind walking 10 or 12 blocks, but the rest of my family complains. I’ve heard there are plans for underground parking, so we’ll see. I’ll be watching Fresno St from my family room where I can yell and fuss without others looking at me like I’m crazy. By the way, I’m usually wrong when I see the replays. But, I still yell when the call goes against us.
-
@stoptheflop Keep those crimson and blue spectacles on!
-
Pumped to see the guys tonight. My hopes are high. A lot of faith that this coaching staff is just doing everything the right way and that we are a bit of a sleeping giant program in a wide open B12.
JD6 going to have a huge season. Glad we lost Grimes. I think it was a bad mesh in the first place.
Most excited to see the new WR group I think.
-
Gameday!! Always exciting to see first action of the year and unlike many years, a decent opponent and the return home to Lawrence for our first real home game in 2 years. As for ticket prices, 32 on Stubhub that’s what I almost always do these days as there’s always someone who needs to sell.
-
This is an important game. Although I believe we’ll win Fresno is not the pushover that we’ll see next week in Wagner, and in two weeks we got Missouri. A loss today really puts us behind the pack in terms of rankings especially if we (as expected) lose to Missouri.
Will also be interested to see how the stadium looks/sounds. I’m sure Fox will try to emphasize that aspect of things.
-
I’m ready for JD 6 to return, no Apple Watches on chains playing highlights and no talk. Just action
-
What a beautiful sight.
-
Wow that shadow mades it hard to see the action on the bottom of the screen.
-
Wow, late hit much?
-
Nice drive.
-
That run by JD was impressive
-
Wooohooo!! Wave the wheat!
-
Kurt Warners little boy
-
Really poor tackling. Come on defense
-
What an awesome clip on that fresno kid
-
Somehow the refs have missed an obvious late hit against them and a seemingly obviously block in the back.
-
Alright Leshon.
-
Lots of O, lets see some D
-
Daniels looking good
-
This secondary is gonna get gashed this year it’s looking like.
-
Alright, KU has the ball and the lead. Let’s Goooooooooooooo
-
The guy who just made the tackle is from Lawrence, 5th school in 6 years. This according to Haney on radio.
-
Season opener on plain old fox channel, nice!
-
This is what I expected tbh. I called Pickett as the guy to watch a ways back. His film was great.
This staff rocks.
-
@approxinfinity It’s nice not to have to hunt through authentifications and verifications of credentials to watch a football game!

OK Cam Pickett #7 Junior transfer from Ball St. 5 catches 72 yds and 2 TDs. Oh yeah, it’s still the first half. Wow.
-
1st TO!!
-
@Kcmatt7 You could say you picked it on pickett
-
All 3 transfer WRs have had a nice play now. Good to see
-
Jalen 12-13. I think that’s good.
-
They better start protecting JD better.
-
Caldwell is looking like a real deal
-
They are hitting JD as often as they can several times late and out of bounds
-
It’s a long season and we have a nice lead. Can I just say and hope KU doesn’t run JD in the second half. We have running backs; let them carry the rushing load. Please.
-
I don’t know how you run a play in 3 seconds like the refs just allowed Fresno to do.
-
Half time 24-7 good guys. Nice!
-
That half was fun as hell. I’m a big fan of Coach Z and Coach Lubick. DL absolutely ate late in the half.
-
I really like this Williams kid
