K State Give Me a Break … Game Chat 7 PM CT

Tiller was money from the line and played hard. It seems they are settled in again on defense. The back to back threes from Elmarko were very timely. Mel is getting aggressive everywhere. Flory is really showing why he is the answer when we need one. Tre being Tre over and over again it seems he and Mel believe this team can keep going and getting better. They play like seniors who understand it takes hard effort to win. We don't panic and I wonder what the KSU crowd was saying that made Tre do that last dunk because he knows it's not normal.

@Tallturd1 I wish he would have done a one handed 360 with a back-flip and shattered the backboard. Screw K-State.
But i mean that in the nicest possible way

Did anyone else think it was weird wearing the home whites in Manhattan? All for it going forward lol
I’m glad even KSU is leaning into Bramlage being AFH West
-
I bet you can find a majority of those "we own this state" signs broken in half in the garbage outside the stadium. I'm glad they finally found where they belong
-
KU Women gave a thumping to KSU.
First win at AFH in 5 years.
Lets go.

The more I think about Melvins Wabash taunt the more I think of how brilliant it was. FKU heard every game we play there. Reportedly they chant it when we're not even playing there. They chant it while doing that dance. Melvin's been in town for less than a year and totally gets it.
Tre's dunk at the end, normally i don't like but again, he's new in town and gets it. They're going to chant FKU then I'm gonna do a FKSU style move.
These guys have some flair and they're proving what a special place Lawrence is.
-
Self wanted them to care about the rivalry and they went out and did that.
If you get a chance check out AJ Dybansta's response to a question about the BYU/Utah rivalry. I'll take what Melvin and Tre did all day compared to that response, while honest is today's reality. Rivalries and traditions and player buy-in to those is dying.

Tang is 55-50 overall and 24-33 in league play since his "expect to win" speech after beating KU in 2023.

@BShark I've seen a LOT of posts about him not getting bought out but people wanting him gone. A fan base who is never satisfied with what they have and thinks that they OWN THIS STATE is some deep down bullsh#t.
-
@BShark Of course every coach in the history of coaching, even me, a jr. high soccer coach, gives that speech when they're hired.

It would definitely be very expensive after this season still. Then they have to pay the next coach on top of that. Tough scene, couldn't happen to a better group.

We have a bit of extra R&R and we get to see how BYU at home handles Zona tonight.
-
Let's hope for a loss for Arizona and BYU expends a lot of energy.
-
@BShark and they just spent a boatload on football. Black Joel Osteen is there for another two years
-
@sabramo19 thanks for posting these highlight vids!
-
Watching the game, Zona is very physical, kinda thuglike at times
-
@FormerlyStlJhawk Bring it over to "Other Games" category! Discuss it there. I've got a few thoughts as I watch
-
I don’t know what they seen in the hires they’ve made in basketball the last two times. I really liked Frank Martin and Huggins even tho he was there only a year. But Tang and Weber are just total nut jobs on and off the court. Still frustrating that Tang is 3-4 vs Self hopefully he sticks around a few more years so we can improve on that.
