@DanR some of it is Bills philosophy on Fools gold, the guards are way way over helping to paint after the ball is reversed. It’s not 1980 anymore guys can hit 3s at 45% clip all game long or better.

It’s an embarrassment to our history and the guys who have worn it and competed with pride. This group is a bunch of quitters and should be remembered as such.
And Self isn’t off the hook either. This is what happens when you play favorites…

It’s not being fixed with a speech. This team is beyond speeches. It’s at the point where certain players have to decide if they give a shit or not. Nobody on the roster has enough fire to hold others accountable for phoning it it.

@Texas-Hawk-10 it’s to that point and has been for atleast a month. My question is why are playing the guys that obviously don’t give two fucks like Hunter and Storr. I’ve always said I’d be happy to lose by 50 with walk ons if we actually play hard. The guys that don’t care shouldn’t see the floor don’t care if they are the best player on the team or not.

Unfortunately it is how people act in the worst/most stressful times that define their character. ie there are a lot of nice folks in the state pen that just get a little stabby from time to time. I try to remember that when I start to get exceeding cheesed about KU sports. I’d hate to be defined as a poor sport because I can’t act as gracious in defeat as victory. (I’m not though I try)
Doesn’t mean I like the play through. That I find off putting. That someone who was recruited to come represent the university I slaved to pinch pennies to attend putting forth this effort is bothersome to say the least.

If I’m Bill Self at halftime, I walk in laughing ass off. Telling them something to the tune of I’ve got 16 conference titles and 2 national titles, I’m probably gonna be remembered pretty positively if I retire tomorrow. Y’all are gonna hold the title of Bill Selfs worst team and arguably the worst team Kansas has put out in over 40 years.

It isn’t “playing hard” it’s actually we don’t have legit talent
We are the team paying big contracts out to bad players who we valued incorrectly (Hunter, d2, kj, storr ect)
Bill’s eye for talent sucks and he loves him some good players that would have excelled when Self was in college

It’s not the money. They’re just not that good. Imagine if we built a team around Naadir Tharpe and Darnell Jackson…that’s essentially what Coach has done the last two years.
