@Texas-Hawk-10 Fritz is taking a team much less talented than ours and will end up winning more games in not only the conference but overall. Fritz> Leipold

Cool story bro! Let me know when UH plays a tougher non-conference and conference schedule than KU, then that argument would have some merit. Right now, it’s just you grasping at straws to find something to complain about.

  • @Texas-Hawk-10 Guess I’m not seeing anything that makes me think their non conference schedule was that easy. We both played UNLV and lost. They played OU on the road, lost we played Illinois on the road and lost. They don’t play an FCS team like we did in Lindenwood but played rice and won. They also beat both TCU and KSU, they seem to improve everytime they get on the field unlike us. Please expand on how much easier their non conference was than ours because it makes no logical sense looking at them. They also have several common opponents in conference and have beaten teams we lost to with less talent. Sounds like superior coaching to most logical folks. I would agree theirs is slightly easier. Fritz is winning more games with less talent that is a fact not an opinion buddy.

  • @kjayhawks It’s an age old debate. Can coaching prevent kids from losing their heads like we did against UNLV and try to pick up a fumble and run with it instead of just fall on it? Can coaching prevent Skinner (?) from dropping a wide open TD pass at Kstate? Can coaching prevent the kick returner from catching a KO at the 1/2 yard line and stepping out of bounds? Can coaching prevent refs from botching some calls against TCU?

On the other hand people would say great coaching will prevent Jaylon from making that bad throw at U of I at the end of the half. Great coaching will prevent the 4th quarter meltdowns. Great coaching will prevent the insane play calling we’ve all complained about from Grimes.

I really kind of think both can be blamed. Not sure the Houston coach whom we’ve waxed two years straight now can deliver us to undefeated land, especially when what you claim and the reality is a difference of 6 games.

  • @wissox Fritz is in his first year at Houston and is a proven winner at this level. I think he has proven he is a better coach than Leipold has been this season. You don’t have to think the same but have players not know wtf they are doing on kickoffs 8 weeks in is a direct reflection of coaching. I’m still waiting from the response from @Texas-Hawk-10 as to how Houston non conference schedule is so much easier than ours other than he was too lazy to look it up.

  • @kjayhawks “Fritz is in his first year at Houston”. Don’t let the facts ruin my narrative! It looks a lot like you don’t let facts ruin your narratives when you say he’s a better coach than Leipold when that’s the one team we’ve had our way with. I look at their schedule. Still not sure how you look at that and say better than leipold, especially when you have two bowl appearances in the last two seasons.

  • @wissox I love farting around debating @Texas-Hawk-10 is one of my favorites will go back and forth for and I’m always laughing by the end like I tell everyone it’s just a chat room.

  • Wow Ole Miss thumping #3 Georgia. And #4 Miami lost.

  • Hahahahahahahahaha OU just scored on a throwback to the QB then a scoop and score a couple plays later. This game rules

  • BYU is losing and look beatable.

  • Guess we’ll have to take byu down.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 When I see BYU 38-9 of KSU I get a bit, a lot skeptical even, that we will be successful against them.

  • @wissox our team is full of surprises

  • I haven’t been impressed with BYU personally and both them and us have a lot of the same team from a year ago. It will be a battle on the road but I think we are a better team. It just depends if we play like it

BYU only had 241 yards of offense that game. KSU just played like pure trash that game. 3 turnovers, including a BYU fumble return for a TD, and KSU gave up a punt return.

BYU is a good team, but they are beatable and have played some bad teams closely. BYU has essentially been what many thought KU would be this season.

  • @Texas-Hawk-10 I was telling friends this past week, that I was booking KU would beat Iowa St. -I’m calling this game also maybe not quite as confident but just feeling like we can for sure play with these guys.

If we can play wit and basically control 3/4 of the game against ISU defense which was suppose to be so rugged and w were getting many, many chunk yardage run & pass - I’m fully confident in this game - -this is not the team of a month a go.

Stats point this out , we have lost five games by six or less-- - -most in the nation we could very easily be 7-2 as well as 3-6 -Losing to K/State by two where we outplayed them, even K Stater’s sayin wee should of beat them these last wo years – Beating Iowa St the way we did. I think the guys mo jo is on a different level- -I’m saying were going to take down BYU

  • Fizzou goes down and Mildcats down 24 midway thru the 3rd in Methattan

  • Kstate is mounting a comeback unfortunately

  • @BShark I spoke too soon, ASU trying their damnest to give this away.

  • Huge penalty

  • Of course KSU can snap the ball perfectly on 51 yarder against us but miss a 36 yarder here smh

  • LOVE IT!

  • @BShark terrible time management by them as well let 30 seconds run off waiting on a defensive sub

  • Fraud watch is on in MHK

  • Tech beating OSU 56-48…… what year is it lol

  • Bama oh no

  • @FarmerJayhawk Monroe 3/10 78 yards 2 INTs one was a house call

  • Things could get really weird for the Big 12 in bowl season. There very possibly aren’t enough bowl tie ins for all the potential 6 win teams. It’s an artifact of the former PAC schools playing in PAC bowls. There are 12 Big 12 teams who can get to 6 wins. The Big 12 has up to 8 bowl tie-ins and the PAC has 6. USC and UCLA can get bowl eligible, Wazzu already is, Oregon State could as well. Might be a giant train wreck.

  • @FarmerJayhawk it’s sounds a little worrisome if we are fortunate enough to win next week. How crazy would a KU-Nebraska or KU-OU bowl game be? I don’t wanna put the carriage before the horse tho. Full focus forward to next week for this team.

  • @kjayhawks man I’d LOVE to play Nubs again

  • Imagine not liking this dumb sport. Absolute CARNAGE in the SEC

  • What do yall think of 7 time national champion Oklahoma rushing the field after becoming bowl eligible? Are they the new Nebraska?

  • @kjayhawks Nubs South. If you’re a real elite program you never rush the court/field

  • Boy, OkState’s fall from grace/competence is something to behold. They look awful against Colo right now. From league favorite to cellar. Just Wow.

Tulane losing to Memphis yesterday was big for the Big 12 because that pretty much eliminates any chance of the B12 champs missing the playoffs.

The other favorite to win the Big 12 is currently 1-7 in conference play too. It’s crazy how inverted the standings are compared to the preseason expectations.

  • Anyone watching this Georgia- Georgia Tech?

  • Haha Ryan Day drops another to Michigan

  • See the fight/flag planting try after game?

  • @Crimsonorblue22 That was pretty interesting to say the least. Wonder if criminal charges will be filed, OSU had several staff members heavily involved, throwing punches and being bloodied themselves.

  • Security spraying pepper spray Another team, also tried to plant a flag? Forgot who. Better start fining them! nc state and unc had the same thing.

  • So with Texas clinching a spot in the SEC title game, is it safe to say maybe that conference isn’t as far ahead as the talking heads claim? Talking about a program that had won a single conference title in the B12 in the last 14 years.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 It was Michigan that wanted to plant their flag in the middle of the O at mid field at Ohio State. Had quite the rumble for a little bit

  • What a championship Saturday. It’s really funny Boise and Arizona St will likely get byes

  • @FarmerJayhawk it will be interesting at this point to see what happens. I dislike how much hype Boise and Jeanty are getting. Sorry Jeanty who will likely break Barry Sanders record if they play 2 playoff games doesn’t impress me much. Guy averages 30 carries a game playing in a powder puff conference. Boises clam to fame is we only lost by 3 in the first game of the year to Oregon. What flex by the former pac-12 members. ASU wins the B12, Oregon the B10. I’m thinking with Texas making the title game it proves the SEC isn’t quite as far ahead in CFB as they think.

  • @kjayhawks I get that. You can only beat who’s on your schedule and Boise dang near pulled it off. I think they deserve a spot but they could be the 3 seed which seems insane.

I have no idea how they’ll treat the ACC. Do they treat SMU as a fraud or a good win for Clemson and give them a bye? Same question to the Big 12 and ASU. Tomorrow will be crazy

  • @FarmerJayhawk yes it will be interesting how much they penalize the losing a teams in the conference championships. I think the likes of Texas and Penn state are safely in but big question mark around SMU. They’ve always favored the SEC so hardcore I’d be shock if Bama doesn’t in. I just hope a non SEC team wins it.

  • @kjayhawks Bama vs SMU is definitely the toughest case. I guess it comes down to two different approaches. Do we think Bama is better than SMU? I tend to think so. But does SMU have a better case to get in? Also think yes. So depends how the committee weights these things.

  • SMU shouldn’t be punished for losing by a FG in a conference championship game when Alabama didn’t play in one at all. For Bama, don’t lose to a pair of 6-6 teams

  • What escapes me is why Penn State is definitely in and SMU may be left out. They have the same overall record. Both played in the conference championship and lost relatively close games. Only other loss for both was a close game to a ranked team (both SMU losses by 3 points). Questions about SMU’s strength of schedule, but who has Penn State actually beaten. Penn State’s only good win was 21-7 over a 9-3 Illinois team. Only other wins against teams with winning records are 7-5 Bowling Green and 7-5 Minnesota. Just two against a P-5 school. SMU has wins over a 9-3 team, two with 8-4 records, and two with 7-5 records. All P-5 wins. And, don’t get me started on Indiana. They benefited from not qualifying for the conference championship. Patsy non-conference and conference schedule. Didn’t play Oregon, PSU, Illinois or Iowa. Only win over a team with a winning record was 7-5 Michigan…

  • @DCHawker Quality of losses. PSU lost to two teams were in the playoffs regardless of beating PSU and are regarded as the two favorites to win the national title this season. SMU’s losses are viewed as worse because BYU didn’t make the B12 title game and Clemson is only in because of beating SMU.
