Need to be proud of our Boy

  • So Happy & Proud of our former QB — - -Jason Bean, Was selected as the # ONE pick in the UFL draft - -Sure it is the UFL but still that’s a sweet accomplishment - there are some cases where that can translate over into a chance of getting to maybe get a chance to play somewhere in the NFL , or make a roster- -maybe/probably not QB but been talk of possibly a a WR

No matter we should consider our self lucky to of had him, very solid back up QB. Just think where we would of been without him last year- – Once a JayHawk - - -Always a JayHawk – -Great Job Jaason - - - think he was under appreciated by some. - -ROCK CHALK

  • @jayballer67 I think he was under appreciated by a whole lot of people.

Exactly ,I couldn’t agree with you more

  • Bean’s Been

    Good for KU

    The more you play ‘im

    The more they boo

The more they boo the better they feel

But Jason Bean’s the real deal

Ah man look at you, lol- - A true poet

  • @jayballer67 Jason is still my hero. Where in the hell would last year’s team have been if Jason had stayed with his initial decision to forgo playing? I hope he sticks with the Colts, but if not at least he’ll get a chance to show his skills in the UFL.

  • Jason was definitely frustrating to watch at times but you got to give him a ton of props for staying. He could’ve gotten and started at a lot of D1 schools. It will be interesting to see what happens but nice he has options. It will be super hard to cut a guy with his speed.

  • I gotta think that his speed alone finds a role of some sort (WR?) if not QB on an NFL squad.

ya , kind of my thoughts.- - Been hearing some talks of him maybe getting a shot as a WR. Where eve hope the guy lands on his feet , sure rally glad he came back. He will always be a Jay Hawk

  • He is the only D1 QB I have seen that looked so elite while looking so mediocre in the same game.

I’m no expert, but I think this is because he was excellent at long passes down field (timing routs etc), but often struggled with short passes. It’s possible that the WRs made him look good, but he legitimately put some of those distant passes on a dime, and then next play threw a short (comparably easy) dud behind the guy or into the ground.

Fortunately, he managed to avoid a lot of interceptions, although there were some.

I actually think this is the biggest risk for the team this year. Both Bean and Daniels can air it out and the offense has relied on them to make those relatively risky passes… Our offense is potent enough to overcome a few mistakes, but it’s really key to keep that down.

  • Bleacher Report sucks, but they have a list of their top 10 NFL rookies who are draft “steals” (round 3 to 7 doing unexpectedly well). Booker and Puni both made the list.

Between those 2, Fairchild, and Bean, KU is doin’ great!

  • I asked on another post, anybody hear what’s up w/Kenny Logan? I heard he was at our fb camp, didn’t sound to great if he was there.

  • Jason Bean is finally in the game and has driven the ball from inside the 10 to the 5 yd line. Looks way better than Ehlinger. Better than Richardson too.

I think he actually makes a roster some where-- -wishing the best of luck

  • @jayballer67 He got a shoulder injury last night. Don’t know how serious.

Great. That’s not good , Players that are fighting for a possible roster spot can’t afford any injuries - -dang gone it, things like that usually are the kiss of death. – Can only hope, fingers crossed.

They capture moments in time. For a 5 day period (just two days remain for Bean) you can buy limited print run cards (print run determined by the orders placed during that timeframe).

It’s pretty cool that Bean is on one so early! Card #15 for the year - two Caleb Williams, one bi nix, no Xavier worthy!

  • Jason Bean has survived the first cut by the Colts. BYU QB Slovis was cut. I have my fingers crossed that Jason sticks with the Colts, probably on the practice squad. But, the Colts still have Anthony Richardson, Joe Flacco and Sam Ehlinger ahead of Jason.
