Drew to Louisville ? - - Tang to Baylor ? - - I dunno , never say never

Is ksu in or out? Miss state/Auburn getting testy. Don’t care for either coach! Jans is creepy.
KSU is done and so is Mississippi St. after their loss as well. Bubble teams/bid stealers still playing are Texas A&M and NC State. New Mexico could also burst a bubble if they beat San Diego St. in the MWC title game as well.
The Pac 12 title game tonight is likely a winner’s in and loser’s out situation as Colorado and Oregon are both bubble teams. Colorado would be better for bubble teams though as they are in the Last 4 In on most projections while Oregon is in the Last 4 Out/Next 4 Out in most projections.

Would Baylor want Tang? He’s done some weird stuff.

If Drew does take the Louisville job, Tang would absolutely be their first call because of his familiarity with the program and being a strong religious person. He’d also be their best bet to prevent a mass exodus of players as well.
I know Tang isn’t happy with KSU’s administration over the “F-KU” chants and how they handled the Nae’Qwan Tomlin situation so Tang would also take that jib in a heartbeat.

This won’t be a popular statement, but it’s my honest opinion. That we are a 4 seed is an abomination ro the game. There is no way we should be higher than a 13 seed.
This is an awful college basketball team.

Sure feels weird not watching any KU games Friday or Saturday!
-
Right now Joe has us at 4 seed in the Midwest playing Yale in Spokane. South Carolina would likely be round of 32 opponent. Purdue is the one seed, i actually think this is a pretty favorable draw if we get it. Feel like we have had tougher as 1 and 2 seeds.
-
@nuleafjhawk I believe this is sarcasm folks but you could make a case that we should be as low as 6-7 seed looking at how we are 10-10 in the last 20 games
-
The Athletic has KU as a 3 in the West Region playing Colgate in the opening round. If they get by, KU would face (probably) Wisconsin. No thanks.
-
This is my annual post pointing out that Lunardi absolutely sucks at predicting tournament matchups. He literally got only three matchups correct out of the entire bracket a couple years ago. We’re not playing Yale in the first round. Good grief.
-
@DanR who pays that guy, anyway?
-
Likely what most impacts where KU ends up is whether the Cyclones climb to a #1 seed. If so, they would be the #1 in the West region. That would almost certainly mean KU would be in the East region. If staying on the 4 line, that would mean UConn in the Sweet 16 - assuming we can survive the first weekend. If UNC gets the fourth #1, KU could end up in the West.

Don’t worry were not going to be a 3 – your looking at a 4 . – We took a couple of bad losses latte, not Quad baad but we got blasted and I think they said we were what? - -9-9 last games- -those go against you. Health of team, how you have been playing - -strength of opponent things like that.
One thing we got to remember even if we did play Wisconsin , we are going to be playing the same guys we started with- -the guys that beat Kentucky – that beat U Conn - -that beat Houston that beat Tennessee - -so I’m really not worried about Wisconsin. - Would be a dog fight , but they put their pants on one leg at a time just like us - head up & think positive - – new beginning everyone is 0 - 0 6 game schedule – -ROCK CHALK
-
@nuleafjhawk You have to look at the other 4-6 seed candidates then and ensure that we’d be fine with them getting that seed and us not. For example If Duke got a 4 seed like they probably would, we’d be up in arms because they crapped the bed pretty bad lately with no real injury excuses like us. So I’m fine with a 4 seed.
You can’t seed us too high because if the week and a half rest for Hunter and Kevin does wonders we’re suddenly a pretty darn good team and it becomes unfair for the team we’d play in the 2nd round who would ‘deserve’ to play a significantly worse team. For example lets say they seed us 7th. If we win, then we play presumably the 2nd seed who suddenly is looking at playing KU instead of a team that is barely ranked.
-
Plus we already played Yale this year.
-
Most stations predicting KU as a 4 seed in East facing S Carolina in round 2 provided we win rnd 1 game.
-
@kjayhawks I just believe we’re seeded too high because our name is Kansas. We’re not a good team this year. Yes, we beat some highly ranked teams early on, but they could have been rated too high as well. I don’t think we will fare well in the tournament.
-
Lunardi got 4 matchups correct this year! Out of the big 32 games. Two were 1-16 matchups and two were 2-15 matchups. The dude is a genius!

That’s not how the accuracy of Bracketologists are measured. I’m necessarily defending Lunardi here, but if you’re to critique his accuracy, at least understand how that’s determined and measure based on that, not your own criteria.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 just pointing out that his bracket matchup predictions are awful. His schtick is literally fantasizing/predicting seeding and matchups in a bracket format.
-
Of all the one seeds we could potentially face, I’m happy we got Purdue.
-
I hate to say it, but getting past Samford will be a challenge.
I’d like to think a win would generate some much needed confidence, but it’s hard to tell if this team will jell at this point. They have looked fragile and soft lately.
If anything, it seems like the decline has become steeper. I fear they will need a miracle to pull out of the tailspin of the past few weeks.
-
If team is healthy, I like our chances.
We have tourney experience, played on big stages.
We have senior leadership.
We will play with chip on the shoulder.
We have HCBS.
-
@bskeet hard to be confident right now for sure. We have a grand total of 1 win in March and believe we are 2-5 in the last month.
-
@kjayhawks I’ve already cashed in my chips and hoping Coach gets things figured out and will re-group and be back to “normal” Kansas basketball next year.
-
Ouch. McCullar out.
-
For the first time since 1947 both Kansas and Kentucky miss the sweet 16 in back to back years

I understand we had struggles, lack of talent , no bench - -but got to believe also that part is that with NIL & Portal the days of Dominating power is over - -I think things are starting to spread out more Balance. – Could be wrong just seems more parity.
