KJs effort has been consistent. And he made his free throws.

Seems strange but the officials helped them to their huge advantage. Not 20 points worth of course, but a missed call on a Furphy 3, heck even on KJ’s buzzer beater attempt, and quite a few others might mean we’re still within shouting distance.

Think we are pretty well locked as a three- --and yet if we get creamed in this game and 1st round loss in the Big 1 tourney , might drop to a four.

Looked it up- Cryer had 24 points. 6-12 from three. He’s always clutch against KU.

The officiating is not egregiously bad. It’s not great— they also missed the foul on the pass to KJ that left him in a heap on the floor.
But the stats won’t lie. I don’t have them in front but we have taken fewer shots, made fewer threes, probably more turnovers and fewer rebounds. Oh and probably 50% free throws.
Lots of room for improvement and plenty of reasons why we are down. .

@wissox I can handle a loss to a better team on the road like Houston but we aren’t even playing hard. One thing Roy used to do when it was that was sub in all the walk-on and less players for a few minutes to send a message to the starters. Something I wish Bill would do.

The portal + NIL essentially creates a mercenary strategy for teams. Keeping teams engaged is even more of a challenge than it used to be.

It’s hard to think that we would come into this game not more focused then this.I think we just need to play McDowell , Jank , Timberlake , Braun, Jackson the rest of the game
