Right on que Kev
-
Fran he misses that alot
-
OMG
-
We had them but 3 missed layups the last 2 minutes smh. Sometimes all you can do is laugh Juan hits the hardest layup in history but misses open ones
-
I’ll give Baylor some credit for hitting some tough shots
-
Well I don’t know why Johnny has been sitting
-
Baylor seems to have hit about 10 late clock shots
-
@RockChalkinTexas el marko has been playing decent
-
@kjayhawks I’d rather he shoot 5 threes a game
Had the great steal and layup
Dennis comes right back at him gets into the paint and hits the floater cause Juan is a bad one on one defender
Then he doesn’t shoot the open three he tries to force it into KJ. His lack of ability to shoot a freaking jump shot is comically bad. How do u not practice shooting off the dribble mid range and 1,000 threes a summer???
The Morrii shot literally 1,000 -1,500 threes a day in the off-season
-
Good fight here guys, Baylor is solid. They really gave away the game to Houston a week ago.
-
@RockChalkinTexas Because we can’t possibly win without Juan!!!
if EJ is playing good then Bill has his head so messed up because he can’t sit KJ or Juan for a better three point shooter when down 8-10 all half
-
KJ 1 rebound smh
-
Could’ve used Johnny on the boards late though
-
We got killed on the glass and in 3 point shooting, that’s the difference in this one folks
-
@kjayhawks Houston dominated that game from the tip and peed it down their leg second half then like a title team held on in regulation and OT
Definitely not us but then again tell me Houston’s guards and then compare them to ours
-

KJ 1 rebound smh
Where is @Texas-Hawk-10….he will annihilate us with how bad a rebounder Kj is and he’s proving true by a mile
-
Never lost 7 conference games BEFORE
We are spoiled.
Still with them
-
@DanR Or his shooting instead of make a contested layup and give up a bucket on the other end
-
No one should EVER rush the court after beating us
-
Gonna have to figure out a way to solve the three disparity
-
@DanR idk maybe our fifth year sr who can shoot 35-40% throw up 4/5 a game because he’s literally unguarded and defenders go under every screen ALL EFFIN YEAR
GREAT ADJUSTMENTS BY BILL ADVISING HIS PET
-
If I’m Self KJ needs to play less minutes, I’m sorry he’s a great kid but he can’t shoot and can’t rebound those are two pretty important pieces to being a good basketball player. Start Elmarko and go 4 out 1 in and lets see if it works. What we are doing with 2 bigs obviously is not working
-
@kjayhawks He doesn’t have the cojones to do that but he should
His weak arse assistants don’t have the nuts to challenge him on it either
KJ and EJ off the bench
Juan
Timberlake
Kev
Furphy
Hunter

@wissox nah just watching the game and being realistic about the state of the team.
They suck on the road which shows they are weak mentally but also athletically
It’s okay to tell the truth even when it isn’t sunshine
Your takes are not the truth. They’re an opinion and a bad one at that. To prove it, you show up only when things go sour. “See I told you so” is your usual 4th grade retort.
We’re all fans trying to enjoy the game, realistically too which we all are. But you have to constantly come in and tell us we’re stupid and we’re idiots and we’re blind loyalists, and all that crap. Just get lost. Go start your own kubuckets and talk to yourself.
-
Another stat I’ll point out is Baylor finishing the game with 7 fouls
-
Nunn and Dennis>>>> what we got
-
Maybe an 18-7 foul differential is as big a reason as any as to why we lost. These refs were corrupt from the get go.
-
There, fixed it, I won’t see KUbball any more.
-
@wissox You still believe in this 2023-2024 version of the hawks. That is the literal definition of blind loyalist unless you literally aren’t watching this team all year.
We are bad away from home and gonna get bounced early because we don’t have a legit pg or 4 man
I was told back in November to show back up in March and talk then.
HOF hasn’t adjusted crap cause his two pets can’t ever come off the court for better shooters
-
@wissox Geez you are literally as bad as my 92 year old Grandma whining about the refs…get out with that weak sauce
Baylor was more aggressive from the tip and we sucked
-
@wissox don’t answer him. Let him just talk.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Agreed tough to respond to the truth because taking any other side makes you look like a clueless fool

that’s what I was saying earlier , this idiot waits until the game is 3/4 over and then comes in to talk his smack, - -but during the game when things ARE GOOD nowhere to be found, when we kickin butt - -nowhere to be found you have to understand he is not the brightest light in the house. don’t pay him any attention, that’s what this fool thrives on

Timerlake ? - - Timberlake - - -TIMBERLAKE - -well you just showed that yep you know squat - - -you trying to replace So you gonna try and replace KJ with Timberlake - -lmao - -for one this guy is WAY to inconsistent on one end and a HUGE defensive liability on the other. - -Ya that’s it lets do that geez I said you wasn’t the brightest light in the house , NOW I’m thinking you don’t even have a switch - -OMG

The officiating was not great, but I think I have been sensitized to horrible officiating because it didn’t strike me as egregiously bad as it was with other games.
I did want to ask about that layup that Kevin missed on the fast break in the second half-- I thought a Baylor guy hit the backboard as his shot was coming off the rim… Isn’t that basket interference? I know they called a goal-tending a few min earlier that apparently was controversial, but that’s no excuse to swallow the whistle on that one… Did I not see that correctly? There was no mention by Fran and John (not exactly evidence I would ever build a case on.)
-
This is probably the downest I have ever been on KU BB in my life time. Can we even beat KSU Tuesday?

I get it… But, apparently you didn’t live through the end of the Ted Owens era.
-
Also, I think there’s a decent chance we go 2-4 the rest of the way for the season.
3-3 would be a pleasant surprise.
4-3 would be over-achieving.
5-3 would be miraculous.
-
@bskeet No Sir I’ll be 36 years young this year. I’m just worried we are gonna turn into Indiana at this point. Recruiting looks bad no shooters on our commit list and I have just never been this down thinking about not only our near future (first round loss to a school no one has heard of) or the future as in next season. This is really really bad IMO.
-
I don’t care if the refs are or aren’t why KU lost today, but holy shit that was some terrible officiating today. When Bill Self stops working the refs during a game, you know it’s bad. KU took 45 field goal attempts, most near the basket and Baylor’s bigs only committed two fouls the entire game? Are you f-ing kidding me?

That’s been consistent most of the conference season. Kevin and Hunter get hit and rarely get the call. They will call a foul when KJ gets hit a bit more frequently, but we don’t ask him to go to the basket as much.
The foul on Elmarko when he was knocked on his ass was completely wrong. That was a charge 99% of the time.
To be clear, the team made its fair share of mistakes that put the team at disadvantage (Jamari taking an ill-advised shot in the final 3 min when we had closed the deficit and Kevin with a bewildering pass turnover.)
-
@bskeet ya I wouldn’t say the refs cost us the game with the mistakes we made but they damn sure made it more difficult on us.

Yep you could hear the backboard thud easily.

And it was clear on replay.
No explanation.

We didn’t play that badly and played hard. Their freshman center hit some baskets like a guy who hits golf balls through a tree without touching anything. I think Dajuan did more than his part and Kevin was a little rusty but glad he was back. Hunter was dogged and swarmed for sure. We just had another 25 rebound game like the 26 against TT. KJ ends up away from the basket action and that is his main stat place. Elmarko got us into position to get a chance but we fell away at the end. Furphy is looking like he is not comfortable or confident right now.
-
Well, was this game decided on the FT line? Pretty much the point difference. 6-8 vs 15-20. Other than the bitch slapping we took on the boards, the rest of the offensive stats are close.
-
I can’t help but think of that TCU game that was decided at the end by Udeh. If we don’t win that game, this season seems a lot darker than it is right now.
This team seems wildly inconsistent – beating UConn and Houston and losing to KState and UCF. It’s hard to know how this all translates when we get to the tournament. I’d like to think we could win a couple rounds if we have reasonable matchups with teams outside of the B12, but who knows.
I would say our fate is largely dependent on the seeding and matchup.
