SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS
-
We’d like to decline the penalty and accept the layup result
-
Not abnormal to come out like this with how well we played in the first half. Just need to wake up and go a on a 12-0 run to know them out before they get it to single digits.
-
Turnovers for 2nd half dessert tonight.
-
5 turnovers in 4 minutes
-
@wissox We want people to share them and not have 1 for each person.
-
Hunter got fouled there too. Obviously shoved in the back
-
27 minutes into and we’ve only been whistled 3 times for fouls

Oh good grief the refs saw what I wrote.
-
Mari’s going to be a favorite before he’s done
-
KJ is 🧨
-
We want Jank!
-
Would have been nice for our slim conference championship hopes for Baylor to not have choked away a win today.
-
I swear they just talked about Duke at the half and talking about it again. Again, no Duke bias ESPN?
-
There’s my horns down
-
This is a proper Texas sendoff.
-
Walk on time??

4 on Disu

Under 4 if we’re still up by 20 I’m thinking

Scoring drought

Good D nick

Stamp the “Miles Garrett” reference on your Jay Bilas bingo card……smh
-
His brother Marcus was even better.
-
That should be a flagrant 2, no play on the ball, Hunt about popped that clown back to the Stone Age. Chicken shit play
-
@tundrahok IDK, Miles was SO fast, we was practically invisible!!
-
Dirty ass play
-
I didn’t get picked for the trial but I was there for 12 hours before they let me go.
-
Chant louder
-
dumb play but glad nobody got hurt or did something stupider
-
why are the starters in?
-
After Abmas’s BS Bill probably is all gas no brakes
-
Whoopie!
-
Maybe the most enjoyable game this season. If we do the same thing to K-State I won’t be sad.
-
Have fun in the sec, Texas. Spent 10 years in Knoxville and it was junk ball and not the most savvy BB fans. So… texas should fit right in.
-
Good win. FU Texas
Guys need to be ready to go Tuesday.
-
My biggest complaint is keeping the starters out there the last 3 minutes. Otherwise a pretty solid outing
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich I just want to go undefeated at home and hopefully have a healthy Kevin for March.
-
That kind of balanced scoring by the five starters will win a LOT of games in march/april. +Kev
-
I can’t wait to see UT’s staff and administrators bitch and moan about all the “Horns Down” hand signs next season in all sports.
-
Stat of the game: Johnny Furphy had 16 points on only 3 FG attempts.
-
And alas, no viewing on Tuesday because of fricking ESPN+. Maybe we probably lose, but maybe not? I’d love to watch, but not gonna pony up because I’ve already given ESPN a bunch of money since 2000 as a subscriber.
-
This is what I was referring to:
Replying to @RockChalkBlog
Kansas has scored more points than Virginia today in 21 fewer minutes of game time @RockChalkBlog
-
Nice win. Guys played well with the week off and playing at home was a big factor in overcoming the lack of Kev
-
I was at the game today - surprised at how many Texas fans were there, probably because they wanted to experience Allen fieldhouse before their SEC exodus. Great to see bench players get so much time! When Timberlake hit that alley-oop slam, the place went absolutely bat-shite crazy, even the 70- 80 something fans were jumping for joy. Great overall energy today. God that place gets bowel-shakingly loud.
So, a question … what’s the likelihood that Furph sticks around next year? The love for that kid in the arena today was total and overwhelming.
-
Seemed like a good game, wish I could have seen it, but was nice to read the comments, thanks all.
-
Fun with the boxscore:
KU shot 61.5%!
KU shot 27 FTs, Texas 10
KU had seven guys play 15+ minutes, with the max at 33 min.
And five guys in double figures! Nice.
Texas with 26 (26!) 3 pt attempts. KU with 8.

Going to be tough to hold onto Furphy the way he’s getting talked about. Self has usually pushed kids to the draft that are going to be lottery type selections and its possible he could be land in that discussion.
He isn’t able to earn NIL but he also isn’t apparently in a rush to get to the league. Being from Australia he may have a different opinion of how he wants to get to the next step in his career. Perhaps we luck out there and get that 2nd year.
-
There may be a way for international student-athletes to earn some NIL, with passive engagements that don’t require labor, and so don’t violate their student visa. It’s just a matter of getting creative. I’m sure KU Athletics has some pretty creative folks.
