Fail and move on. Refs were a embarrassing disgrace
-
Refs will get a looking at
-
Jobbed at Lambeau. Totally swallowed the whistle in the last minute. What a joke.
They kicked the wrong guy out of the game too. Why can’t they go back and look at replay to see who instigated?
-
@bskeet Pacheco should have kept his cool. Silly to punch someone wearing a helmet. MVS gives great piggyback rides! Everyone wants one it appears. Kelce’s back was chilly so it was nice of that GB defender to warm it up in the end zone!
Oh well. Should’ve played a cleaner game.
-
Same record as the Hawks. Both teams need to win out now!
-
only one problem. They might of sucked agree , because if they would of got the call right, when they called Green Bay for unnecessary roughness right t mid field when that was a bullshit call, as Maholmes one foot had just reached the sideline good hit. - -If you was listening to the review gut said afterwards he said – -THAT was not unnecessary roughness, so the later calls would of been irrelevant
Or better yet all the Chiefs had to do was with their vaunted defense had to do was stop Green Bay when they had the Ball- - BUT they didn’t stop the youngest team in the NFL.- - -Again sure it was an obvious pass interference on GB but it evens out for sure----time to move on
-
Holy crap. That was a comedy show. I don’t even know where to start! Wow.
Sooo many bad calls. Play calls and ref calls. So many. What on earth was that third down with seconds left on the clock where PM chucked it out of bounds??? Just a wasted chance to score! Incredible.
And the injuries! What, we lost five guys before the half?
That was comically bad on so many levels. Green Bay! Green Bay!
I’m so steamed I can’t even put a thought together. Grrr.
Not looking good for the Chiefs.
-
@rockchalkjayhawk If it makes you feel better the team that just got the biggest win of their year only got to hear about terrible reffing in the post game on tv. Love is only under contract for the rest of the year, so they’ve got to navigate that this offseason. I am glad they got this moment. Now let’s hope the Chiefs figure out their WRs after Rice!

I am totally blowing off steam here as i just finished watching, so excuse my anger!
Ha. maybe an iota better about the post game. I’ll have to check that out. I don’t blame the refs entirely for the loss. YES, that massive missed call was hugely significant. But, the Chiefs just don’t look very good right now.
And yes, since the preseason i’ve been moaning about WRs, or the lack of. It’s THE issue this year. So our only possible play to a WR tonight was essentially a screen to Rice??? Fer effs sake!
That’s bad, folks. This season, as it sinks, can be blamed entirely on the GM.
-
@rockchalkjayhawk I blame Veach for the overpay on Taylor and the lack of WR options. But Chris Jones is just as culpable. If Orlando Brown signs for the same deal he got at cinci or Chris Jones shows up or signs long term deal he was offered, the chiefs have cap space to sign Hopkins and this mess is behind us. Two selfish players and a miscalculation by the GM has taken a Super Bowl winning team to a team that is likely to get bounced in the afc championship game. (If the playoffs started today I believe the chiefs would play Pittsburg and then Miami - very winnable games)
-
The last 6 games starting with the GB game have every single opponent getting more rest than the Chiefs. That’s not the best. The Bills are coming off their bye and pissed. Should be a good game.
-
After the Eagles game, I thought the Chiefs could run the table. Softish schedule other than the Bills and Bengals, who have their own problems.
@dylans I’m not smart enough to follow the cash flow by the GM and how that affects the comings and goings. But, your explanation makes sense. The Chiefs put it all on the shoulders of Mahomes and Kelce. They need more help.
-
Yes I’ve been Gb fan for life, BUT doesn’t mean I don’t like KC except when they play GB. - -Maholmes is an absolute stud -has been from day one, BUT some friends and I have talked/had talked before the season and just as Dylans has sad - - KC has no receivers , and it’s going to cost them. - Other teams are finding ways to take Travis out of the game and are tell KC now beat us with what you got.
Kelce and Pat can’t do it by themselves - -they need help . Valdez was better then this at Gb, not great but better then now. - -. KC but is beat up , but yet you want beat up – look at Gb injury report it’s insane – I think KC will be fine, but they do have some problems on offense with the receivers that need addressed or they are not making any superbowl.

MVS had one of his better statistical years last year. He is terrible now. Historically he has sucked as well - just above 50% on his career catch rate.
No doubt GB is beat up. That skating rink is wretched to play on, it’s what caused a bunch of KC’s current injuries. It’s a home field advantage to have people get injured when you’re at a talent disadvantage, so they won’t fix it (just add heat to the grass with water lines to soften the surface), even if it costs them a few players too.
-
For people calling for Nagy to be fired, he doesn’t call the plays, Reid does. Gotta move on quickly here, piss poor game plan and execution, coupled with poor officiating.
-
Besides rookie WR Rice, the group in general has been a disappointment.
Mahomes and WRs are not on the same page, out of synch.
I was hoping Sky Moore will have sophomore improvement in play and it did not happen.
-
@jayballer67 Mahomes is not that studdish any more. I’ve seen him overthrow and underthrow more passes this season than all his other seasons combined. He’s got too much money to concentrate on - not football.
-
Mahomes is genuinely a highly competitive professional. I just can’t imagine him not concentrating on football.
He is not having a great season like years before, coupled with WRs not in sync with him with drops and penalties are main issues with the offense.
-

I undrestand and yet I think part of that is again these receives he is dealing with. Not running the right routes-- - - cutting routes off to soon , to late —slant instead of diagonal - -just bad receiving corp for sure
-
Mahomes’ problem is that he has lost confidence in the receivers. Last week, he zipped the ball and his passes were on target. Last night and almost every time he has been intercepted, he has been way too cautious–looking like he is trying to place the ball, and everyone knows it is almost a lob rather than a bullet. I think that is also messing up receivers’ timing. They look like they are so afraid of making mistakes that they are doing exactly that.
Rx: Simplify the damned routes, and send a couple deep many times. EVERY other freaking team is getting WRs open deep. We have given that up.
The other big problem is PM is staying in the pocket as it collapses. His uniqueness has always been scrambling and finding a way to get the ball to the receiver. The routes being run this year look set in stone, crushing creativity at both ends.
-
Hard to look good when guys drop passes that hit them in both hands. Week 1 Mahomes INT loses game - that hit Toney perfectly. Against the iggles Watson dropped a 4th down pass that hit him squarely in his mitts, after MVS dropped a perfect bomb a few plays earlier. - that’s the difference between running away from the field to being a game back.
Look at how good Burrow’s backup looked tonight with all those weapons!!! Now imagine KC without Mahomes.
-
For anyone that hasn’t seen, the report on last weekends NFL refs is out. The no call on MVS pass interference was deemed correct. The throw was considered uncatchable since it was to MVS and he was just going to drop it anyway.

Ouch! (haha)
-
Does anyone else feel like the Bills game is a must win for Mahomes? Wow has he fallen to average or below average this year. Everyone blames his averageness on the Wideouts, but he’s not the same athlete he’s been. Meanwhile, Tyreek has almost 1500 yds. At the time, I didn’t think losing Tyreek was going to hurt this much. Anyway, McKinnon and Edwards-Helaire must step up. It will be interesting to see if Bolton is back as a game changing force. Go Chiefs!
-
@stoptheflop That offense would struggle to score in the double digits without Mahomes. Those receivers are trash. Pacheco is above average, but can’t carry the team (and is injured for trying). Veach has neglected the receiver position for years, now it’s caught up with them. - let’s play revisionist history here - Toney catches the balls thrown his way in week one - chiefs are now 9-3. MVS doesn’t drop that perfectly placed bomb against the eagles - 10-2. Now eliminate half the drops - the only category the WR lead the league in - give those yards to Mahomes, take away 1-2 interceptions that good receivers would have snagged. Skyy Moore ran the wrong route on a recent Mahomes interception (unfortunately not the only miscue) - the Chiefs would be in first place of the AFC by a game with the best record in the NFL and Mahomes would be leading the MVP race.
This is Veach’s fault for neglecting the strength of the team (passing offense) to try and build up a weakness (defense) and had made the team mediocre as a result. I say lean into your strengths and try to patch up your weakness instead of the other way around.
A positive stat to put Mahomes greatness in perspective - Patrick Mahomes’ . 583 winning % in games when he is losing by 10, is ranked 41st out of 178 quarterbacks in win % with their win rates being across all games. ie If Mahomes spotted the other team 10 points he would still by the 41st most winning QB of all time.
Mahomes’ win rate when losing by 10 is equal to Joe Burrows overall win rate, and better than HOFers Troy Aikman, Kurt Warner, and Warren Moon’s overall win %.
That is pure insanity! We are so stinking spoiled it’s amazing.
-
@stoptheflop Yes I feel like the Bills game is a must win!
-
They just need to get their swagger back offensively. It starts up front, I haven’t been impressed with the tackles on the offensive line. They have a high number of penalties and have gave up quite a few sacks. Better play calling, maybe the receivers can’t catch the ball more than 5 yards off the line because they don’t try to go deep til the 2 minute drill.
-
@kjayhawks I’m pretty excited about Wayna Morris setting over the injured Smith! Taylor is good at pass pro, but Collinsworth put a hit on him the first game and it’s had year long repercussions. If those two can be the tackles going forward that frees up draft capital for a WR!!! Or a Chris Jones replacement (just the though of losing Chris makes me sad) in the first round.
-
@dylans that’s the deal with the cap right now. If they don’t win it this season, they could be in trouble for the next five years. Don’t get me wrong, they still be a playoff caliber team but Kelce ain’t getting no younger and Jones is likely gone.
-
KC is a slight favorite today. But the Bills have some weird wins and losses this year.
So, I got no clue how to predict this one given the Chiefs glut of injuries.
But, Bolton is back.
That’s why ya play em, I suppose.
-
BTW, what the hell is that weird emblem logo thing on the Browns field???
-
@kjayhawks yup. Only 34 million in cap space with 34 players signed. Cut MVS to free up 10?million with a 4million dead cap I believe. Then you need 20 guys for the 53 + the practice squad with 44million to play with. Makes hitting on draft picks crucial. That kstate turd needs polished up or that was a huge waste of a first round pick.
-
Delayed by the Browns. Great. This feels like a late KU basketball game on ESPN, awaiting the LA Tech womens game to end.
-
Gonna try as best as they can to miss the playoffs apparently
-
Good series, love the bench press

Again same song 2nd verse. - Chies got issues- - -more dropped passes - -very catchable passes. They have no receivers other then Kelce, you can see the frustration in Kelce bulding 2 offensive PI’s one flag was picked up.
-
Hang on to the ball! Looking good!
-
Tied!
-
I’m not drinking the kool-aid anymore. Mahomes is no better than any other QB. And not as good as a lot of them
-
@nuleafjhawk how would you pin that loss on Mahomes logically? Wide receivers continued to drop passes, fumble and line up in the neutral zone. Offensive line is hot garbage, if the chiefs had an nfl receiver room. They’d be 12-1 right now. Can’t expect Mahomes to do magic every week and year.
-
I put the majority of the blame on the management. They knew the receivers and the line was a problem for the last several months. Didn’t trade anyone or make any moves to improve the situation. The run in KC maybe be done.
-
@kjayhawks the play that Toney screwed up was so pretty! Ugh!
-
@kjayhawks he threw at least 5 passes directly into the dirt. We can’t keep blaming receivers for not catching passes that are not catch-able. He’s making terrible decisions. Overthrowing and underthrowing. He’s easily rattled. He’s not the same.
-
@nuleafjhawk most of what I saw the ones he threw in the dirt were intentionally as throw aways under pressure. I’m not saying he hasn’t missed some throws but the chiefs have led the NFL in drops since week 2 they have to hit the receivers hands to be deemed a drop. Get rid of Mahomes and this team ain’t winning 5 games.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Toney has cost them 2 wins plain and simple. Mello Dotson whom just announced he will return to KU next season has more receiving TDs than Toney and Sky if you count pick 6s. That’s absolutely unacceptable and pathetic.
-

and exactly why do you think he is not the same ? - -it’s because he doesn’t have any receivers. – Like kjayhawks said the Chiefs are leading the League in dropped passes. - You continue to place fault , where there is fault - The Golden rule in the NFL is if it hit you in your hands - -it should be caught, that’s why you get paid all the money. You can’t expect every pass to be gift wrapped and personally dropped into their hands with a big bow from Mahomes , - if your listening you have head the play by play guys talk numerous times about how they are dropping passes.
I will agree with you Mahomes is getting rattled - -who wouldn’t ? - -Again a perfect example Patrick threw a lazer /on a rope to his receiver and he drops it. After awhile that as a Qb is going to start to get under your skin. I have said from Day one this Season , if there is a reason that the Chiefs won’t make it back to the super bowl it’s going to be because of their receivers - -they don’t have any,the only true target he can throw to is Kelce, and teams have started to taking him out of the game by doubling up and just daring the Chiefs to try and beat them with the rest that they have got. - - So they haven’t been able to do that and teams are starting to not respect their game challenging the receives. Really no big del with me, just what I’ve seen and heard, Chiefs aren’t even y 1st team but you can’t put this on Pat - he has to get help putting to much pressure on him when they can’t produce. - Tooney has cost them dearly. - - – Scantling has killed them with dropped pass after dropped pass - -Receives running wrong routes , cutting their route off short. - No this is not on Patrick.
-
@kjayhawks I’m not saying to get rid of him. Well maybe I am because I’m ticked. But not really. Anyway, he needs to get his head straight. All of them do. Too many non football distractions on this team. Not just Swift related distractions.
-
@jayballer67 aren’t you a Packers fan?
-
@nuleafjhawk distractions are for sure a problem
-
Well, here we are with the Chiefs.
Injuries sure didn’t help today.
I just don’t have the same faith in the team. That feeling they could pull off crazy shit just ain’t there anymore.
Weirdness: you could argue they have one of the top defenses in the AFC. Second fewest points against so far (I think). The offense in points scored is middle of the pack-ish. An odd turnaround!
Their remaining scheduled isn’t brutal. So, I think the playoffs are in reach, but they’ve brought themselves back to the pack. And it’s a crowded pack. Only a one game lead in the West?
Not looking like a Super Bowl team at the moment.
