I guess the Misery fans started chanting “F KU” last night in their game against Arkansas. Rent free.
-
@Jethro The picture I saw amazed me and I looked it up. Nearly 15,000 fans in the gym. Misery fans showing up.
But to chant FKU when we’re not even in the house?
-
Happens a lot actually. They have no life
-
Wow, this UCLA-Arizona St game is great fun. Amazing action including a 60 foot buzzer beater to end the first half. When UCLA joins the BIG I’ll have a new more deadly villain than Fran to cheer against. Because Mick Cronin is a good coach but quite the unlikable character from what I’ve observed. While I don’t like the idea of USC/UCLA switching leagues just like I don’t like Texas and OU leaving seeing UCLA in the BIG does has some enticing allure to it. Gonna be some interesting games.
-
Gonzaga’s 75 home game win streak was snapped last night by LMU. The irony is during the 75 games, the mighty Zags played two (2) ranked opponents. Cupcakes, anyone?
-
@Jethro Do you know how many ranked opponents we’ve played at home in the last 75 years? I’d guess around 25-30? Edit: 75 homegames!
-
@wissox I hope you mean the last 75 GAMES, because we’ve surely played more than 30 ranked opponents at home in the last 75 YEARS! lol
-
@benshawks08 Uh, yes, kind of vegging right now waiting for students to come to class! Long week. Tired, brain farting, fingers mistyping, etc. etc.!
-
@wissox In the last 5 seasons (about 75 home games) we’ve played 21 ranked opponents at home. (I could be wrong on this for sure)

We played 4 ranked teams at home last year. Overall, we played 10 games vs. ranked opponents last year in the reg season , so the majority of our games against ranked teams were either away or at neutral sites.
-
painful update
-
We will be okay, still a lot of ball left.
-
lol dook
-
Down goes ksu
-
Crazy league!
-
Great game again. We’re getting a real treat this season
-
Did anyone hear “screw the Jayhawks?” And f u ksu? I swear I heard those
-
Kendrick Davis going off for Memphis tonight - -all around game.-- - Scoring & Assisting. - Wish we would of had him here - -help Juan give him blows
-
@jayballer67 he wouldn’t have played in front of Juan so I wouldn’t have came here either if I were him.
After McCullars committed, not surprised we didn’t land anyone else impactful. I’m surprised we could get a legit transfer big.
Juan will be the starting pg the next 2 years even if he averages 7 ppg and 6 apg and 2 turnovers/game

I wasn’t asking him to start over Juan. - - All I know it’s nice to have 2 pgs like that- - - wet off tonight for 25 points- - -11 assists - - & 7 rebounds
-
@jayballer67 I know you weren’t but it’s also why he wouldn’t come here. Wouldn’t want the remy treatment

I doubt Self anticipated the situation with the bigs being what it is and probably wasn’t looking too hard for one since he likely anticipated one of them stepping up more than they have.
-
WVU beats Auburn and OU up on Alabama. More proof of the depth of this league.
-
@benshawks08 I think we end up 11-7 and winner is ksu, isu or tcu at 13-5
-
@kuballin10 no Texas? I wouldn’t be surprised if the winner(s) has 6 losses. That could be us for sure. Nobody is getting through this gauntlet without plenty of battle scars. That’s for sure.
-
Oklahoma up 30 on Bama
-
Methzu is crushing Iowa St
-
ISU not representin’ today. Getting embarrassed.
-
Also, Houston in trouble with Cinn. They’re looking vulnerable which bodes well for when I see em play the Shockers at Koch on Thursday.
-
Big12 vs SEC = big fun. I don’t care what the coaches say.
-
@Jayblaze only SEC team to win so far is a former big12 team who we already smoked at their place.
-
OU routs Bama. Holy cow.
-
Lampkin and Walker out for TCU today against Mississippi St and Miles looked like he blew out his knee a few minutes into the game. Really sucks for TCU who looked like they had hit their stride. They have 7 points in 10 minutes today.
-
Got a good reason to miss the game tonight. Wynton Marsalis at Symphony Hall in Chicago. Should I record and watch when I return around 11 and stay up late or just monitor the score? I need advice.
-
@wissox to me this isn’t the game that matters. The next one is.
-
@benshawks08 I hate Kentucky so bad I really get up for it when we play them but don’t have much optimism for today.

Sorry to say but you and me both. - Just not feeling good about this game. We have just got to quit digging ourselves such a huge hole early. No answer for Oscar. Just came on to see if anyone could talk me into being optimistic lol

Ya TCU is in a war No Lampking - -No Miles but yet they up by 1 with like 5 minutes to go. - - Big 12 up 3-1 so far - -Tech even won
-
Baylor forgot how to shoot today. They have just bricked a ton of wide open shots.
Because of course
-
Out of the b12-sec challenge, Texas Tech was the only team to win on the road (out of 8 games so far, assuming Tennessee and Kstate close out their wins). Rankings and records mostly irrelevant. Weird.
OU hit a bunch of threes. Huggie’s guys made 21 of 25 freethrows. Mizzou hit 14/30 threes to bury ISU.
Didn’t watch any of them, but the stats are pretty wild.
-
Watching Texas. trying to understand their arena. It looked like lower level only was open for this game. But I couldn’t quite figure it out. Announcers said they make more seats available for concerts and stuff. Couldn’t figure it out.
-
@wissox still haven’t been but they definitely close parts off for the basketball games to make it a more intimate environment. People say it’s more fun than Erwin (the old arena) was but that’s not saying much.
-
Just like the old sprint center. At and t now? It’s an optical illusion when they close it off. Spelled right?
-
TTech gets their first conference win, didn’t realize they were winless. Over a ranked ISU team to boot. Some fans storm the court which is kind of lame.

Tech came back from 23 down to win that game tonight, I don’t blame those kids for storming the court after that comeback after the rough season Tech has been having.

I believe it is only the lower level that’s open for basketball. Considering they sold the season pretty quickly, I’m kind of surprised they didn’t open the top section up for select games such as Kansas or tonight that are usually pretty big draws for them.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Must be a huge lower section because they are averaging like 13,000 per game which isn’t bad.
-

They’re averaging 10,384 per game which is right about what UT said capacity would be for basketball games. 10,000 seat lower bowl is a pretty common average for aot of newer NBA style arenas.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Ah, my research was faulty. 10,000 sounds about right for Texas fans who, besides you of course, only care for football.
