The Butler game three of their starting five played 25, 27 and 31 and bench guys 29, 24 and 23
Then their OT game
UT is a better team as kenpom showed and Vegas knows

this is the erssult you get and are gonna get when Wison and Grady aren’t giving much. - That and just getting beat to death on the boards

That’s my point, their bench has played a lot more minutes giving their starters more rest leading into this game amd it’s shown with the shooting tonight.

People saying our offense needs Juan - he has 4 to’s and we were down 7-8 real early when he was playing. He wouldn’t make the difference in a W and an L
This is what happens when you have 1 on 1 iso offense and guys who can’t shoot (besides Gradey)

@FarmerJayhawk he went against everything he’s ever said “if a guy isn’t ready in February I won’t play him in March” except he had no choice because of how bad certain players were. He played him and we won
The problem is how are we going to fix this?

Good D won’t stop great offenses
Either play the young guys and take our lumps or don’t.

Games like tonight he got exposed with our start, leading the team in turnovers and that’s just him playing half of the first half and now he’s out.
He has to be Frank, devonte, tyshawn offensively for us to win a title. Last years team he didn’t have to do that.

Do the same with Zuby - we know what we have in Kj
This game is over is it not? Bills not even arguing with the refs anymore you can see he knows it’s done
It’s KU - title or bust and KJ at the five is great for half a game but not going to win it

All but 1 of KJ’s rebounds are offensive tonight. He has only 1 rebound on defense. And this is a big problem for KU because KJ is the worst defensive rebounding big Self has ever had. KU absolutely has to get one of the other post players going because KJ’s defensive rebounding is an issue that has to fixed at some point.

I outlined how that only gets us 57 points in reality which ain’t winning many games this year against real competition

The point is we don’t and playing starters 35 minutes a night isn’t going to develop a bench either so when Wilson and/or Dick have an off night like tonight, KU is going to struggle to win games and will have to play low possession games in the 50’s which helps keep other teams in games and if they play well, lead to blow outs like tonight.
