Kentucky - - Kentucky , go figure - -just so cal can screw this kid to. For all the talent he has had a UK and ONE Championship, their fans used to talk so much shade - -not quite so much now

Looks like another kid to keep an eye on for 2024. Vyctorius Miller the # 5 over all prospect in 247 hda this to say:
Ever since Coach’s could make contact it’s been crazy , had to get a different phone. - -Schools that’s been in contact including Duke & Kentucky.
He said he feels prioritized most by : - Arkansas , UCLA ,USC , Oklahoma St & KU.
Had this to say about KU : - I Love the program , They just won so that says it right there. We hit each other up every day , That"s the School You HAVE TO VISIT, He transferred to School in Arizona for this year, from the Coast but says Staying close to home won’t be a factor

Ian Jackson the #2 player in the 24 class had this to say about KU. Wants to take an OV
Kansas: “The talks with their staff have been great. I like the program, the winning culture there, and how they play. Me being able to watch them this past year in the Final Four led me to look at them differently. I love the program and I love the coaches there. I feel like I would be good there.”

Jamari Phillips released a top 6 with KU in it. 5 star guard prospect is from Cali so unlikely but he’s taken a unofficial here already and has a good relationship with Coach T.
Kansas: “Coach Townsend has been in contact with my parents a lot before he was able to get in contact with me. I know he believes in me a lot and is always calling. When the live period hit he was one of the first coaches to call. He really believes in me and wants to help me get in and out while winning a national championship. He’s really a great guy and we have a really great relationship.”

Seems like everything I’ve been hearing is that the 23 class just isn’t that deep

'23 class is weird. For a lot of those guys, covid cost them the end of their freshman year and the spring AAU development period. That’s a huge blow. I think we saw a similar impact on the '22 class. Lots of guy that just suffered from a lack of development in that window, others that got covid and missed time at some point, or didn’t play well, took a while to get back, etc.
'24 class is shaping up to be much more of a typical class.
The thing about the '22 and '23 classes is we could see guys that were undervalued really shine once they get to college and finish developing. Missing that time as 14 and 15 year olds could mean they just see that development curve swing upward at 19 or 20. If you landed the right guys, you could be sitting on a diamond and don’t even know it yet.

5 Star & Top 10 PG Elliot Cadeau announced a Top 6 including KU. KU, Louisville, UNC, Syracuse, Texas, Texas Tech in the running.
He has visited UNC, Tech & Louisville. No scheduled visit to KU yet nor was it mentioned. Can’t get too caught up in this one until he actually see’s campus

HEY BShark , I’m assuming as we haven’t heard anything here or seen much talk about it anywhere yet I am just Curious?
Do you know anything about th3 5 * PG for 2024 that is announcing his school tommorrow night - -his name is Elliot Cadeau he has KU in his final Schools.
Just figured we must not be a contender seriously as nothing much if any has been mentioned , I think he is the # 9 player over all. Have you heard anything on this kid BShark

Yeah, Juan, Bobby and Elmarko at the PG spot for the next how many years? Not sure they have pushed for anyone at that spot given what they have. He’s probably also looking for a starting spot among other things.

Is Dejuan gonna be here in 2024-25? He’s a redshirt junior this year so doesn’t that mean next season would be his final season here?

@Texas-Hawk-10 Theoretically he could due to the covid year. If that happens, he could break a bunch of KU records due to getting 5 full years of playing time, after a RS no less.

He could be here due to the covid year. However, the way he’s improved this season I’m wondering if that’s realistic. It would be beyond incredible if we got 2 more seasons out of him after this.

If his shot continues to improve, I could see backup PG ability at the next level. That will keep you on a roster for a decade, and if he’s smart, he will be set for life with that.

Not that I thought we really had a chance but 5 star PG Zoom Diallo didn’t mention KU in his latest update to his recruitment. Previously had mentioned interest. Looking like a Nike kid

KU is recruiting 4 star SG Rakease Passmore #51 overall recruit from Charlotte NC. Big stock riser (sounds like he’s rise even further) that’s got Duke, Tennessee, Oregon, NC St, Indiana also after him. He’s taking an unofficial to Duke next week. No other visits so far.

Yeah not losing sleep here. NC kid so pulling him obviously won’t be easy anyway. Not seeing KU involved with a ton of 24’s so far. A lot of kids have already moved their recruitments up and made commitments so interested to see what actual targets pop up.

Castillo, Jeremiah Johnson, Jaxon Prunty.
They like Cam Scott but that will be difficult.

Diallo released his final 6 that does include KU. Think this is nothing more than a courtesy.
Kansas: “ Kansas is another one of those blue blood programs. They have a great reputation of winning basketball games and making pros. Coach Self is another one of those great hall of fame coaches and Coach Townsend has done a great job recruiting me as well. It’s a blessing being recruited by one of the blue bloods.”
