2 upcoming KU home games rescheduled

TCU game scheduled for next Tuesday will now be played next Thursday.
The Iowa St game that was canceled last Saturday has been rescheduled for February 11th. Both will tip at 7pm on ESPN +

In looking at the advanced numbers, I’m not sure what benching Garrett gives us. They HATE Harris. Like 10th or worse in PER, win shares, and +/-. I don’t think just firing more 3’s is it either. We’re 4th in the league in 3%. I do think playing more 5 out is good. Harris, Garrett, Braun, Ochai, Wilson. But 5 out in the create mismatches and driving lanes sense, not pass around the perimeter and shoot garbage 3’s for the sake of 3’s sense (regardless of what the geniuses at Rock Chalk/Mid-America Nazarene Blog) tweet on an hourly basis.

@FarmerJayhawk well we are 9th in the league (235th in the nation) in 2pt% so I’m not exactly sure they aren’t on to something…
I’d legitimately rather watch this particular team put up 30+ threes a game than watch whatever it is we’ve called an offense so far this season.
It would be different if you thought that we were just finishing poorly, but capable of finishing in the lane better. We aren’t though. This team is shooting as efficiently from 2 as I think they are capable of (unless you start playing big and putting Enaruna and Wilson on the floor together which Bill I believe said he doesn’t like to do). So the only way for the offense to even try to compete is to shoot and manufacture more 3s.

Bill sacrificed the offense to let a 45% shooting big man have the green light at every touch. Makes the other 4 guys on the floor stand around. Zero chemistry

Interesting divergence in torvik and kenpom. Offense is about the same in the mid 20s, torvik thinks the defense is much worse.

My point is we shouldn’t just chuck for chucking’s sake. Our volume is negatively correlated with our % this year. The more we shoot, the worse we shoot it. Have to manufacture good looks.
