Doke needs to pump fake before he goes up to make that harder to time. When he just goes up like that in rhythm it’s very easy to time.

Pump fake also means the guy is probably going to foul hard enough to where Doke doesn’t get a shot up. I think no pump fake is better as bad as Doke is at FT’s.

I doubt anyone on TCU is strong enough to prevent Doke from getting a shot up. If he pump fakes he probably gets a foul and has a chance for an and-1. Worst-case scenario he gets 2 shots at the line. If he just goes up in rhythm the worst case is we get nothing and TCU is running the other way with the ball. I’ll take the foul.
