I'm pretty sure Remy played in the B12 tourney

@bskeet yes I think you are correct, my point is he was playing the majority of the year and building with the team. He didn’t just show up and go. Practicing with the team does help DP but nothing compares to playing together in game situations IMO

          @kjayhawks2.0

Remy sat almost all February that year, returned at the end of season, played in Big-12 tourney and NCAA's.

I think if this next go doesn't go positive, they will shut it down for the season. Just my current opinion there.

@BeddieKU23 I’ve had that feeling for much of the year l’m just waiting for the official announcement at this point. The odd thing is he supposedly has been dealing with this for a few years and still was playing. Just not getting paid which adds to the head scratching of this deal.

OK, here is the thing . If you really wanna know the truth- - -I really don't think Darryn has hardly ANY SAY in this whole dam thing. If that is true then that's truly sad. I mean I'm feeling that the show is being totally run by mommy and daddy. This kid has had his decisions made probably for almost entire time, by Mom & Dad and agents so on and so on.

So now Darryn is what 18 ? - 19 years old? -- and I think the parents are still wanting to make the decisions , Darryn is an adult now I am beginning to think the wrong people are still trying to tell Darryn make the decisions. IF that's the case and Darryn wants to play then these agents AND THE PARENTS need to step back and let it go. He is a grown man starting his own life, his future is in front of him. The longer he sits the more he faces the possibility of his value going down. I think the wrong people right now are still making the decisions

@ROCKCHALK2025 you're probably right, but what's really sad is that HE IS THE ONLY ONE that should have any say in it. Unless he's truly, seriously injured.

Maybe this circus would make sense if we knew about the onset of his issue. He could play in prep school and all star games, There was a hammy cramping and moving to a quad tightness. I think the hype over Darryn and $50,000,000 made the agent who has an iron in this fire maybe pushing the big money into the families face. He could possibly sit until the ISU contest five games from now. An Ill wind is already being felt in the distance and at this time it really shouldn't be.

This is all way too dramatic. So many rumors floating around. I dunno what's what, but it sure seems like we got scammed, but the NIL donors got it much worse.

I hope he plays, but it seems like cramping is an issue he's had since high school at least. Maybe he can spend some of that estimated $4 million and see some specialists? Mayo Clinic? Let's get a move on here! Clock's a tickin'. time's a wastin'.

I can see it now ... we grow some team chemistry without him, then he decides to play in the Big Dance and all chemistry and feel is lost.

@nuleafjhawk Exactly what I was trying to say. Darryn is a grown up now , it's his future we are talking about here. So if it's his future then he should be the one to have the final say --- not the agents- - -not his parents

@rockchalkjayhawk right at what point do the donors just say I’m done? I gave you millions to field a championship caliber team and the key piece didn’t play. I’m saying right now, this current model of college athletics is not sustainable for the future.

The donors know ahead of time that there is nothing they can do to guarantee a championship

Obviously but would you go buy a brand new $85,000 truck and let them keep at the dealership and never let you drive it? It’s the same thing to me, you made an investment and got no return for it.

Sad stat of the day: Nick Timberlake 177 points in his Kansas career. Darryn Peterson and Billy Preston combined for 77 points in their Jayhawk careers. I was thinking about Preston the other day man we walk to a title in 2018 with him.

Was listening to the field of 68 after dark and can't remember who it was and they was talking about Darryn obviously and they said what KU needs at this point is a resolution plain and simple , they need a resolution.

They said you are starting to see the frustration in Bill-- Bill's frustrated , the fans are frustrated It's time this thing come to a head , needing to approach the family - agents and say look ok , we need to get this settled , move forward. So if Darryn is going to play--- Great and yet if he chooses to not -- --great but we got to know either yes you are or no your not- - -the NIL stops , you leave the team and we move on , we can't wait any longer.

It's not fair to Bill---- it's not fair o the other players not knowing ok are we playing with Darryn are we not going to play with Darryn - - -it's not fair to the fans- -& it's not even fair to Darryn himself -hearing this is very solid- --it'x time- -it's either yes- - or no

As much as I would love for Peterson to play and maximize the potential of this group, I agree that it is fish or cut bait time. What is telling in this whole saga is the absence of an actual medical report. You would assume that he has had an MRI. If it were a Grade 2 or Grade 3 injury, you would think that would be announced and everyone would understand that there would be a longer recovery time. But the absence of that report suggests it isn't a Grade 2 or 3, but rather a Grade 1 strain. With rest and treatment - and we would hope that he is getting world class treatment - then full recovery should be just a couple of weeks. This has been dragging on for two months. The idea that an athlete has to be at 100% to play is ridiculous. Peterson has shown that even at full strength, he is still better than almost everyone else on the floor.

@DCHawker The real weird thing for me is , they have said that they have had some issues with these things when he was in School my question becomes he played a lot of games last year on the circuit and so forth - - - - he played many of games came through.

They were playing in multiple tournaments two games maybe three in short spans so the question is how did he over come this kinda thing back then -never heard much if anything from analysts that scope recruits out throughout when they are playing the circuit kinda weird gotta get this settled
