Self: "Dedric might takes as many threes as Vick did"
-
Let’s hope he has improved his three point shot since Memphis.
-
@BShark I’d take him replicating his .350 from his Fr. season.
-
@Kcmatt7 Yeah I’m not sure what to make of that drop.
-
@BShark Or KJ’s lol. Went from .222 to .328. Should be interesting.
I expect to see them both hit about .333 or better. Especially when you consider they will be shooting open looks in the flow of an offense compared to playing iso hero ball. Those two guys shot a TON.

How much does this paragraph speak to the 3 changing the game:
Only four Division I teams in power conferences finished the season in the top 15 in 3-point makes this season. And three of them reached the Final Four. Kansas, at third overall, was one of them, with Villanova (464) leading the nation and Michigan (361) ranking 11th. Marquette, with 385, was the other team in that
Now think about defensive philosophy that says stopping the 3 is critical!

@BShark shot selection. If Dedric plays within the flow of the offense he can shoot a good percentage, a la Perry or the Morii.

If it’s the high-low, Dedric could easily see quite a few open looks from the top of the key. That also means when teams adjust, Doke should have a lot of 1 on 1’s deep in the paint as well.
If Dedric hits 35% or better, the high-low will be back in full force and very fun to watch between Dedric and Doke.

We all saw Spellman in action, ad nauseum. Closest thing KU had to him were MorrisTwins. Next men up: Lawsons. HighLow with Doke/Silvio. Time to bludgeon again with the full playbook and real D.

So, Garrett is the leading returning 3-pt shooter, with 12 makes, followed by ML with 6, and Sam and Teahan with 2.
So cool to see a Teahan among our top perimeter shooters again!

I just puked a little. That is frightening.

Not that worried about it. The team will make some threes.
-
@BShark Thank God for the reinforcements! The returning group would be pretty rough. Ironically it’d still be in the running for a Big12 title though.
-
@dylans Threehan!!

@Lulufulu lol
