@nwhawkfan I’ve ALWAYS seen Marshall as a charlatan. He puts together enough wins against nobody teams in weak leagues and sprinkles in 1 or 2 upsets per year against teams that are short on depth or have injured players and the media thinks he’s the next Bill Self, John Wooden, Roy Williams, Dean Smith, Bob Knight, (Fill in the blank with your favorite Hall of Fame Coach).
He’s not.
He’s the wizard of oz. PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN.

I looked long and hard at the Marshall / WSU matchup and on my three brackets, I picked WSU all three times. I did not see it coming. Also didn’t anticipate a Buffalo win, let alone a blow-out.

@bskeet I didn’t pick WSU far in any bracket but yes the Arizona upset killed a few of mybrackets. The South is the weakest bracket IMO and I picked them to the FF because of their talent and how they were playing the last few weeks. An upset is one thing but that was the most lopped side I remember a 4-13 game that a 13 won.

Assuming WVU wins it will be an all West Virginia matchup Sunday. I always like it when that happens except the last time there was an all Kansas NCAA tournament matchup of course.

@nwhawkfan Mark Few is better than Marsha, Few has won 19 of the last 22 conference regular season titles, Marsha has 3 in 11 years at WSU, not in the same ball park IMO.

Wichita St. Why do I enjoy them losing? Why does a team that I used to love make me want to wish losses on them all the time? Why does the shiny dome, that grosteque, monsterous forehead that at times appears to stick out a full 8 inches, seem to visualize the Shlocker program for me. That’s the Mona Lisa for me… MASSIVE FOREHEAD = SHLOCKERS. I hate punks and coaches that are punks.

I had Rhode Island over OU, Marshall over WSU and Nevada over UT. But AZ only to the Elite Eight.

@HawkChamp When the brackets came out I mentioned to some friends that SHU scares me way more than Auburn. Which probably means that KU beats SHU and loses to Auburn but heh…

@HighEliteMajor I would say the refs played a major hand missing that foul on the 3 and with how many Fts auburn shot, but Charleston missed so many free ones down the stretch it killed them I think they went 3 for 9 in last 2 minutes.

After Higgins last yr, theres gonna be a lot of lynch mobs. Refs make bad calls or miss calls, but teams cant let games come down to those calls.

Not sure about Bennett’s record, but I think he has a little bit more to play before the bloods look at him. Boeheim retiring after this year? Dook may go after him, but K is going to be much like Snyder. They will put him on life-support and put him on the side lines.

They absolutely need to speed up their offense…but they aren’t built to do it. THIS IS HAPPENING GUYS.
