Good Luck part 4 - Texas Tech Red Raiders - Saturday - 3 pm - ESPN or ESPN 2.
-
@Hawk8086 It is time for revelry.
-
Devonte carried us to the championship today. What a great Jayhawk.
-
Graham with a similar to Elijah at Iowa State. Big play after big play.
-
Good guys never trailed. Graham was a total beast. 14 is ours. Going on a roll Into March. Yea, it’s good to be a Jayhawk.
-
Reminds me of Billy Ray Valentine in Trading Places…"What a happy day! What a happy day!
-
@StLJhawk poy!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 hell yea!
-
Where’s green?
-
Devonte carried our team. I am so proud of him - he goes down in my books as one of my favorite all time Jayhawks. Great job, Jayhawks. Hats off to the Red Raiders - that was one hell of a game, and they have nothing to hang their heads about. They gave us all we could handle. Number 14 is in the books. Now, let’s validate this great achievement by making a big run in the NCAA, and make it to that final weekend.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Anybody seen Bigbad? I remember he said Devonte was " not a leader". Wonder if he still feels that way. I thought DG looked every bit as dominant as Frank in this game.

Questioning Devonte’s leadership is a bad look. This is his team.

-
@KUSTEVE Amen to everything that you said!
-
-
@wrwlumpy Going to have to get me a T shirt and a hat like that.
-
I want to thank all the doubters. This team needed a chip!
-
Tears me up so many awesome players! We are blessed

You’re welcome!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 You got that right, sister!

I’m going to put this as simple as possible. - -Plain and simple. - This was a game where Devonte Graham would not allow us to lose - -PLAIN AND SIMPLE end of story. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
Awsome to make history. - -So glad for Devonte - - I just want to say though I hope that Evans can heal so they can represent themselves in the tourney - they need him at 100% in the worst way. - -they need to rest him now till the tourney - they have nothing to prove and need to look at the bigger picture now. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Unbelievable my friends, the level of difficulty that those last 2 shots that DG took are crazy plus the late shot clock 3, to quote Self “If Devonté doesn’t win POY the after that preformance, will get him a trophy anyway”. Lol
-
Someone is going to get an absolute bargain in the draft this year. DG is a glue man, alpha and warrior all in one. He will fit anywhere he ends up in the league.

Warning: Olympic spoiler ahead

KU 14th conference, and before that, the US men pulled it out for curling gold!
Helluva day!
-
@mayjay …and without nary a whisper of doping.
-
A chorus heard from Texas Tech, K State, Baylor, Texas, I State, Okla State, Oklahoma, WVU, and TCU players, coaches, and fanbases at approximately 5:26 p.m. today while watching KU players celebrate as they departed the court:
“We heard one of their players was poison so there was a chance. Man, they all poison!”
-
Hey @wrwlumpy
Here’s one you can use next year
-
Does anyone know who got that last foul, w/seconds left? Looked liked the guy was tripping and walked.
-
Y’all remember when Gottlieb said BIFM and DG were mid major guys that wouldn’t amount to much. Seems to me like they have both had pretty solid careers here. I always thought Doug was way overrated as player personally, he was a solid passer but was absolutely no threat to score and couldn’t even wear his pants right lol.
-
@kjayhawks Fran mentioned every pt guard in conference ahead of Bifm.
-
A rematch with Tech in a week and a half would be interesting. If we play with the same energy as the first half, I think we beat them again.
-
Their offense was not good but their o boards killed us!
-
Agreed. Our guys were much better in the second half at rebounding. That has to be a point of emphasis each and every half from here on out. Can’t give up so many free points after playing really good defense.
-
Vick with :08 remaining.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 @HawkChamp That is my biggest concern going forward, Rebounding. That put back dunk Doke just stood there to tie it at 68 had me fuming. Doke didn’t have his greatest game by any stretch and that’s ok, but he flat out needs rebound better for us to go far. 7 rebounds in 29 minutes for a guy his size isn’t all that great, I’d like to see around 12 with those minutes and he had his chances to get a few more today. They missed 32 shots and rebounded nearly 50% of them. The ball movement continues to be excellent and is a big factor for us.
-
@CRH107 was it a good call? I didn’t get a good look?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I think your first impression is the correct one.
-
@kjayhawks box out!
-
Devonte channeled his inner BIFM and played himself into Conference POY.
My favorite Bilas quote…DNA of Champions!!!
-
Some this and that’s taken from Saturday: - - - KU has now had 29 consecutive seasons with 23 wins - - - - It is KU’S 18th overall Big 12 title - – - - - KU now has 12 or more conference game wins for 18 consecutive seasons.
Now a phrase that instantly became my all time favorite from Raphielle Johnson and it is " - -YOU COME AT THE KING YOU BEST NOT MISS "- - Love it - ya gotta love it - -do you hear us now Basketball America ? - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@JayHawkFanToo “My favorite Bilas quote…DNA of Champions!!! ”
Wouldn’t it be cool if one of our players in the Streak has a son who comes to KU and helps extend it?
-
@JayHawkFanToo The birth of #BIDG…
-
@mayjay Franks boy could help us with #27
-
Simien has a son that is about 8 and Moody married in 2007 and has 3 sons with oldest being likely around 9 or 10? This is as much info as I could find on some of the payers from the earlier teams.
