##KU basketball small lineup offers Bill Self options without Joel Embiid##
It was the final 10 minutes of practice when Kansas coach Bill Self gave freshman Brannen Greene some quick instruction on “pick-and-pop” offense.
In short, it was this: Go set screens for the ball-handler, then bounce out to the 3-point line and be ready for a pass.

It lasted only a couple of days and ended two victories shy of expectations, but the recent Big 12 basketball tournament was a crucial experience for at least five players on Kansas University’s roster. Last week, freshmen Conner Frankamp, Brannen Greene, Frank Mason, Wayne Selden and Andrew Wiggins received their first taste of the win-or-go-home environment the Jayhawks will face this week in the NCAA Tournament.

There are plenty of statistics available for those who wish to proclaim Kansas University’s basketball program the most dominant in the country during the entire 11-year Bill Self era.
Perhaps most impressive is the fact the Jayhawks have won 10 consecutive regular-season Big 12 titles and 10 of 11 overall. Self’s first KU team placed second in the conference.

Eastern Kentucky 17, Kansas 63, Kansas State 32, Kentucky 76, New Mexico 16, Stanford 11, Wichita State 53. No information was available yet for the play-in winner that will face WSU.
