Hope you still get a few more visits and moments to spend with your mom.

As someone who lost his mom way too soon and without a chance to say goodbye I hope you get that opportunity or have had the chance to do so! Dementia is a terrible way to see your loved ones go

Thanks so much for the kind words. To be honest there's little pain right now as he's been in this vicious disease for too many years. I grieved many times over the last number of years, and really let it out Thursday when he did have a lucid moment and said my name.

My mom passed today. Iโ€™m pretty drained but she died in peace after a battle with dementia, with my brother there telling her that we love her, and we were able to visit with her often recently. In the end she was confused, but happy. RIP mom. Youโ€™ll always be with me.

@approxinfinity I'm sorry for your loss. Try to remember the good times and not dwell on the more trying times. ๐Ÿ™

@approxinfinity So sorry for your loss. A mother's love never waivers and she always knew your love was there for her. It's something I learned after losing mine and being a mother myself. May her memory be a blessing to you in the days ahead. โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ™

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the well wishes; Iโ€™m good, just tired. She told me to keep up the good work. I will keep up the good work ๐Ÿ™‚

@wissox83 and @approxinfinity, so sorry to hear of your recent losses of your parents. I really enjoyed the stories you have shared. That includes @rockchalkintexas-0.
My dad had mild dementia when he passed, but there were humorous moments. He never could say Alzheimerโ€™s, so it was always -Azz-en-heimerโ€™s. He also had problems with frequently messing something up on his smartphone. He somehow had posted a picture of my mom on the Buy, Sell, or Trade Facebook page. People were asking whether he wanted to sell or trade. My Mom was really peeved. ๐Ÿ˜‚. He accidentally called me on FaceTime and was surprised to see me there and swore up and down that he had not called me. I live 9-10 hours away by car, so I saw him typically twice a year. My mom is still living, but her health is slowly dwindling away.
I wonder how @rockchalk2025 is doing?
Sending love and prayers to all of my forum family.

@patoh3 Thanks for the fun stories and sorry for your loss. My dads best moment was about a year ago when he proposed to my mom, his wife of 67 years. It took a half hour to convince him that he was married. I told my mom you should have told him how much weddings cost these days, he would have dropped the idea right then!!
