Good rule of thumb: until a visit gets locked in take all interests with a grain of salt. Sorry for the mixed metaphor

Yeah he's going to get a payday wherever he goes but probably worth it imo, fan of his game. Johnson from Colorado and Taylor of UNC Asheville are the most known guard targets so far, with both expected to visit.

I think a metaphor combining a grain of salt with your thumb is perfectly reasonable as a variation on drinking tequila shots and licking salt on your hand.

@crimsonblu22 I'll let @wissox answer for himself...but as a Wisconsin fan as well (graduated from KU/grew up in WI)...he's a pass for me. Stats look nice. He had a tendency to pout when things didn't go well. Has all the tools to be a good defender, but no effort. He's also a sub-standard athlete that plays below the rim most of the time. He wouldn't be a Storr-like headcase, but he's not an alpha even if he wants to be.

Diop in from Arizona St. Let's see if the smoke of us working on him during the season amounts to anything.

                      He schooled Flory repeatedly

And then there was 2… or 3 depending on what Big Paul does(still not in the portal).

                        Samis Calderon is in.

What does this say about Self and/or KU? He's coming back, but the entire roster with eligibility (and no NBA shot other than possibly Flory) is jumping ship. Most of the UNC roster entered, but that isn't as surprising given the coaching change. Why are other top programs consistently able to get some of their best players to come back???

This might have been Bill's decision. He wants to work with a clean slate.

Blackwell is disappointing. Says he wants to contend for a championship while leaving a team that went 4-1 against teams in this years final 4. I don't care where he goes. I reallly liked him as a player but he can't honor the only major college that offered him by staying one more season.

He's likely going to make twice as much as Wisconsin could offer but your other point holds true

Nothing because this is the reality of college basketball these days. Most teams will be replacing the majority of their rosters every season now. It sucks, but this is the current era of college basketball.

@Texas-Hawk-10 majority yes. And honestly a clean house is better than overperforming bench guys sticking around so we dont build around them. However, if other programs are losing 55% of their guys and we are losing 95% thats a significant difference. How many guys are the FF or even E8 teams losing? That should be our comp. When you turn over 95% of your guys on a R32 team it means something entirely different than your turnover rate on a contender.
