I hate to say it but I’m not gonna be disappointed if he stays gone. I’ll always wonder if Kohl had played all of his minutes against St John’s between silly TOs, missed dunk and the defensive lapse as time expired. Would be e have won the game? I know others made plenty of mistakes as well.

@BigBad players didnt create this system. Players dont negotiate tv contracts, players didnt have anything to do with conference realignment.
Can we be a little up set at the players id say yes but they didnt create the system they are taking advantage of whats provided.
U wanna be mad at someone be mad at the ncaa for not getting out ahead of this 20 years ago. Hell be mad at texas for destroying the big 12 then leaving for the sec. I just think being overly upset at players is Bullshit.

Why does anyone want to follow this garbage? I know I'm beating a dead horse, but man, the second Bill Self retires, I'm out for good. I have ZERO interest in semi-pro sports. Especially with participants who don't give a crap about where they play, just the paycheck. I can't wait to hear about all these illiterate morons who blew the money they made, crying about how nobody taught them how to manage their money. They all laugh at the value of a FREE education that is so overpriced for the average American. Good riddance!
Yea, not easy. maybe a chicken or the egg situation. which came first? It does grow less interesting and more guns for hire each year.

24/7 has a crystal ball for Flory to end up at Texas Tech next season.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 saw that, hate to have to play him. Think they have the money to pay him?

Yes, they spent $28 million on NIL for football last year. Tech probably has the deepest NIL pockets in the Big 12 with the possible exception of BYU.

Meanwhile... back in Kentucky...

I thought maybe a kid who had been developing for three years would stay. smh

@BigBad honestly id rather have a clean slate than elmarko and jamari stay. That take may not age well if we are completely rudderless next year but I would prefer Self have absolutely clean slate, no pets, no crutches, build something entirely new.

KU is currently down to 3 returning players with Kohl, Calderon, and Corbin Allen who redshirted last season.
At this point, other than resolving the Stokes situation, it looks like a bruising big man should be the top priority in the portal. The Big 12 has become the old Big East in regards to physical play and KU doesn't Calderon and Adkins are not that style of big man.

I feel like we know who Jamari is at this point and this is okay. He probably wants more PT and I don’t think we have more to offer him than he got a year ago. Also likely helps with Rosario situation.

Food for thought: Michigan's starting 5 were all transfers last year!

Is it possible we could bring back Doke just like Baylor brought in a pro?

Wheres the +5 likes button. I gotta get on that.

I have a good feeling about next years roster. Bill Self is about to put together a roster of talented, coachable players who will gel as a group. Just wait and see

Love for that to be true, but what is that good feeling based on? Hasn't been the case for the past 3-4 years. It is trending as if we will spending a big chunk on Stokes (perhaps with coachability issues?). Are top portal transfers willing to take less, maybe much less, and play second fiddle to a freshman. Didn't work this year, and is Stokes better than Peterson?
Maybe we don't go that route, but we would need a full roster of P5 level starters - not mid-tier non P5 guys as in the past couple of years.
Don't know how Michigan was able to do it - maybe they just have a much bigger NIL budget - but supposedly Lendeborg took a lot less than UK offered to play for May. Why is that?
